I am one of the founders of the Red Stick International Animation Festival, and I wrote much of the original text that is in question. The material on the iconmag.org website was copied from my original text, with permission of course. I grant Wikipedia license for use of this material under the terms of the GFDL. Hello, I work for the branch of Louisiana State University that holds the copyright on Red Stick International Animation Festival and its Web site, www.redstickfestival.org.
