First Muslim ?[edit]

"Nazem is the first Muslim,[2] and second person of Lebanese descent to be drafted in the NHL draft"

The article used as a reference says it's the first muslim drafted in the NHL by the Toronto Maple Leafs and not in the entire league. And Ramzi Abid is muslim too and was drafted before Kadri. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mapleleaf76 (talkcontribs) 19:01, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the big deal was the fact that he was the first muslim drafted in the first round. (IDK, maybe Ramzi Abid's second draft invalidated the first one?) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.237.6.129 (talk) 17:36, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"from the tiny village of Kfardenis"[edit]

-As per stated in this article. (http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=425702) (Sorry, my wiki-fu is super rusty, otherwise I'd add it myself.) 216.162.79.127 (talk) 17:07, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, thanks for the link - I'll add it in.Canada Hky (talk) 17:39, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Life[edit]

This section is confusing as to whether it is talking about Nazem or his father Sam. The section goes back and forth using "he" without being clear which "he" it is referring to. I was taught when you use "he" it refers to the last person mentioned by name. This means some parts about Nazem read like they are about Sam. Any Comments? Edit war[edit]

There are two people edit warring over something that happened in November that's easily checkable. Here's a link: http://theahl.com/kadri-is-ahl-player-of-the-month-p174598

P.S. Wikipedian Penguin, just deleting something like that (which is the first google result and is easily verifiable), without any discussion message being posted is a violation of WP:AGF.

Personally, I'd be more worried about the fact that the article says Kadri weighs 210 lbs when every source I can find says 188. 99.237.6.129 (talk) 17:31, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Where was he born?[edit]

We have two places of birth for Kadri on the page - London Ontario and Lebanon. Which is it? Canada Jack (talk) 15:46, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Original research[edit]

The line in the article "The Kadri family also attended National Hockey League (NHL) games; despite living near Toronto, they supported the Montreal Canadiens" is original research. 1) London is 200km from Toronto. Hardly "near". 2) It's very common for people from London cheer for the Habs, Sens, Red Wings, etc. 3) It isn't mentioned in the reference. It should read "The Kadri family also attended National Hockey League (NHL) games, where they supported the Montreal Canadiens" Thanks. 2605:8D80:5C0:3C3B:2853:4E7F:FDBE:1278 (talk) 03:38, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
