i[edit]

i just want to find a page where i can download some medical terminology for free

There's alot missing from the list on this page. I'll try to add anything I can find that's missing -Gordon —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.222.39.111 (talk) 09:13, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Try looking at Category:Medical terms for a long list. (The link is at the bottom of the article.) WhatamIdoing (talk) 01:52, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging for Cleanup[edit]

Article is a bit sloppy, better formatting could be used. The introduction is lengthy and unformatted. A rewrite may be in order. I'll let you folks go at it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.72.19.247 (talk) 05:42, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And what exactly does the term "in a science-based manner" mean? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fages (talkcontribs) 16:04, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Things to fix:
  1. This article is poorly structured.
  2. Most of the content seems directed at those wanting to know "how to" either create or understand medical terminology. Yet "Wikipedia is not a how-to manual", according to policy.
  3. This article is supposed to be a glossary.
  4. It needs a complete re-write.
  5. Most of the introduction repeats the section called "Discussion" and needs dropping.
  6. Finally, some sources for at least a half of the statements made are necessary for this to become an encyclopaedic article worthy of Wikipedia. Yoyo (talk) 12:24, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

surprised no equivalent in french ?[edit]

. . .

comment:

Surprised there is no link to equivalent in French, given the generality of the topic.

I can easily find the links as an IS, an information specialist, as opposed to IT types, the much vaunted Information Technologists, but have neither time nor patience to absorb IT approach.

The new interface is better, yes, but still visually cluttered. Give us the simple, simple, wizard-based interface, and watch data inputs, audience and, yup, donations go through the roof.

Is there somewhere, please, in this IT paradise, where contributors like myself may contribute raw data, e.g. links, paras, images (CC free of course) and so forth?

Every web "master" I've worked with has craved only raw data and I am sure Wikipedia is no different.

Please, techies, make it so.

kia manuia, bon chance, good luck,

jason

Mild degenerative uptake anterior aspect of L4. Lesser increased uptake of right L4.

Broken link[edit]

http://www.eet.unsw.edu.au/~timm/GreekLatin.html link is broken. --Karthi.dr (talk) 14:36, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note. I found the page on the Wayback Machine and added a link to the archived version. Franamax (talk) 19:18, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Need terms used in clinical trial reporting[edit]

eg Time to progression, Complete response, Overall survival, Hazard ratio, Disease-free survival and many more. Should we list them here or where ? - Rod57 (talk) 07:11, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merge suggested[edit]

A lot of this material is duplicated in the Anatomical terminology page and many people coming here probably want to read that page. Now, there is some terminology that is arguable not anatomical, perhaps things to do with diseases and operations. But all of the latin and morphology stuff seems to be discussed in this page. (Alex Wright (talk) 02:04, 9 October 2016 (UTC))[reply]

I've worked on the cleanup and moved some material over here to add at least some references. I notice that the tag was for a full content merge, but the specific proposal was for only a partial move of material between pages. I've done so, although in a fairly minimal way, leaving the Word formation section on Anatomical terminology linked to here. Klbrain (talk) 11:18, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
