Unistd.h[edit]

A tag has been placed on Unistd.h, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article that does not provide sufficient context to identify its subject. Non-free rationale for File:TWK Drink.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:TWK Drink.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Citation style[edit]

I have a few issues with your citation style. It refuses to use the actual titles of works, which then lead to invented titles that could be constituted as an original synthesis of their contents, which are never allowed on Wikipedia. They also require access dates, to ensure that the content is being cited as of a specific time period (as the cited page may change). ViperSnake151 Talk 03:48, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cool cool, I imagine in the cases you're thinking of I was trying to make the citation descriptive, perhaps in the absence of a really obvious title (the url is the title isn't it (!) ). I suspect I may be too used to writing commit message.

I'll try to include cite-dates and archive copies from the wayback machine and use more neutral titles in the absence of a clearly defined title. That said, people who are influenced by the bias found in titles names in footnotes are trying very hard indeed: when I look at a reference it is to read the reference rather than it's title... but yes, standards and consistency and all that jazz.
