A {{Citation needed}} is attached to the line about Republic of Jamtland. That the Republic is connected to the Province(s) of Jämtland (and the smaller, less populated, Härjedalen) is maybe obvious. (Jamtland is the local name of the Swedish word Jämtland.) The area was ceded from Denmark to Sweden through the Second Treaty of Brömsebro (1645), and I think a good source for that can be found in the Danish article, see da:Freden i Brömsebro. This is more or less common knowledge for somebody who have studied in a Swedish school. But you may have objections if the Republic really is a micronation. It does not seriously claim independence. All the Presidents have been entertainers, not politicians. The liberation movements Facebook-page claims to protect local culture and language. It recommends you to turn of the engine when you cross the bridge to Frösön, and push the car over, but you are obliged to keep you safety belt on. Well, what statement is it you want a "Citation" about, since you think it is "needed" here?
That the Republic of Jamtland is a micronation, well I have serious doubts about that. It's rather an organization to preserve the local culture and languages of Jämtland and Härjedalen. The organization simply uses the rhetoric of the words "republic", "independence" and "liberation" to mock the centralization of everything, including the Jamt-population, to Stockholm. My opinion therefor: Remove the Republic from this page!
BUT If you insist the Republic of Jamtland is a micronation and you want a "citation" about that the province of Jämtland earlier was a part of Norway, then add Erik Kjersgaard (1982), Kjersgaards Danmarkshistorie. 2. Konge, adel, borger. ISBN 87-7512-097-6. as a source!

@Edgars2007 and Technical 13: It's convenient to reply in subjects you're not interested in, isn't it? You fulfill something you think is important, responding to {{edit semi-protected}} like important users do. But did you really make any difference here? The {{Citation needed}} stays in the article and the article stays as unreliable as it was before. This because you cannot pass this page without changing answered=no to answered=yes and add a {{not done}}-template. You could have waited to somebody really interested in the subject would come by, but then you would have missed the opportunity to feel a little important for a few seconds. Good luck with your life! It will pass sooner than you expected, wasting your time here. -- 78.73.94.165 (talk) 07:38, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
  • Perhaps giving us a URL or some information about a citation that could be added might work better for you than telling us that the volunteer that added the tag was wrong and the content of that section isn't objected to or controversial to anyone. If you don't have a citation to offer that supports the claim being made, quit simply the {{Citation needed}} will stay until someone does find one. Thank you for your interest in contributing. — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 10:56, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
  • @Technical 13: I offered you Erik Kjersgaard (1982), Kjersgaards Danmarkshistorie. 2. Konge, adel, borger. ISBN 87-7512-097-6. above, whats wrong with that? It does not include any url, is that the problem? I also offered you the alternative of removing the whole claim that the Republic is a micronation, since I am not sure it is. If it would, almost every student organization in Sweden would be a micronation, since they by their name are "nations". But they are not micronations, only some organizations with the ambition to have fun. And I am not saying that the user who added to citation needed-template was wrong. But it would have been easier for us now if (s)he had added some text who explained what (s)he think is missing. -- 78.73.94.165 (talk) 20:44, 2 February 2015 (UTC) (And I have been a Wikipedian for more than >7 years with >250,000 edits.)

I would like to request that the 'Republic of Aquitaine'[1] be added to your list of micro nations.

Current flag of the Republic of Aquitaine

The Republic of Aquitaine[2] is a non-state sovereign entity It holds it's cultural ties to Aquitaine[3] which is situated in the region of the southwestern France. Currently, the Republic of Aquitaine is a government in exile but with full legal sovereign status as established by its Declaration of Sovereignty[4]. The head of state is: THOMAS II GRAND DUKE OF AQUITAINE, who has the highest level authority regarding all matters of state. HRH Grand Duke Thomas II as a descendant[5].

Aquitaine Coat of arms

The title of HRH is reflective and internal of the Republic of Aquitaine - a separate Non State Sovereign Entity from modern day Aquitaine.

Thomas II Grand Duke of Aquitaine set forth a Declaration of Sovereignty [6] which has been the guiding force in the expansion and exploration of the Republic we now see.

Recently in the news a few press releases have been published such as:
Republic of Aquitaine announces new USA office and ambassador.[7]
Republic of Aquitaine Announces New India-Asia Envoy.[8]
Establishment of a Consolare Office in Italy for the Republic of Aquitaine.[9]

RobertACavendish (talk) 17:21, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

Not done @RobertACavendish: Anyone can publish a press release. This does not confer notability. I suspect it takes more than the publication of a fancy document on a website to establish "full legal sovereign status". To begin with, it would probably require recognition of such claims by at least one other nation, for which I see no evidence. You have been reverted in every attempt you have made to add this information to Wikipedia, because it does not meet the criteria for inclusion. Please stop trying unless you can provide better sources. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:07, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

Please add the Republic of Wakrat as a new micronation. It was founded on July 26th, 2016 in what was formerly known as Parliament Square in London (and before that, Thorney Island), exploiting a technicality in micronation law under which the land was still property of the medieval King Offa.

The official website of the new micronation, containing further information, can be found at http://www.republicofwakrat.com

75.118.23.112 (talk) 14:25, 18 August 2016 (UTC) Dear Wikipedia,

As a third and independent party I would like to recommend that the “Republic of Aquitaine” be added to your list of Micro-Nations on the grounds of their activity as a micro-nation and their involvement in seeking world peace.
I have personally investigated their activity in supporting ligament charity organization such as the AFEV, the Air Force Enlisted Village, a nonprofit organization whose core mission is to provide a safe, secure home for surviving spouses of retired enlisted U.S. Airmen. Plus I was personally moved in their charity work and support for “Wide Horizons for children” which is involved helps Orphan children.
The Republic has established ligament Consulates offices in the United States, India, Italy and Argentina. Their diplomatic office is working on becoming recognized as a Micro-Nation by the United Nation. In learning this it confirms that the Republic of Aquitaine is not a paper mill organization in name only but a real “non-state Sovereign Entity” who has publicly declared their sovereign existence, and is being involved in world affairs for the better good of humanity.
In light of what I have shared with you from my research on this Micro-Nation, as Archbishop-Primate of “The Servant of Christ Jesus of the Catholic Faith” hereby recognizes the sovereignty of the Republic of Aquitaine; and hereby request they be listed among the other Micro-Nation on your website.

I remain Your Servant

An additional established Mirconation is: The Republic of Aquitaine, the Republic of Aquitaine is a non-state sovereign entity, formerly situated in the region of the southwestern third of France. Currently, the Republic of Aquitaine is a government in exile but with full legal sovereign status as established by its Declaration of Sovereignty. The Republic of Aquitaine is lead by THOMAS II GRAND DUKE OF AQUITAINE, who has the highest level authority regarding all matters of state.

The Republic of Aquitaine does not petition to hold land, conflict existing claims of statehood, or rights to territorial land. We are a Non-State Sovereign Entity that has chosen Aquitaine as its base name due to the verifiable historical documentation we hold showing HRH Grand Duke Thomas II as a descendant (as shown on the website republicofaquitaine.com ). The title of HRH is reflective and internal of the Republic of Aquitaine - a separate Non State Sovereign Entity from modern day Aquitaine. One of the older, um, micronations, the Republic of Montmartre (Paris, France) was founded on 7th May 1921 per its website, and is at least more active in public affairs than most micronations. Yet another, The Most Serene Federal Republic of Montmartre (Manhattan, NYC, USA) has variously claimed to be "the world's oldest government in exile: since 1688" per New York Magazine, 1977, or "since 1636" (the colony's establishment) per BoyReporter, 2001; it more likely dates to ca. 1965, but was recognized by the International Micropatriological Society. Both have received press coverage which you may confirm by Googling their full names. – Raven  .talk 05:35, 22 April 2017 (UTC)

Table format

I'd like to propose some changes to the table to remove some of the less useful parts:

1. Leader. Where they're a notable person, it can be mentioned in the Description. Where they're not, the linked article is the most appropriate place, and the one most likely to be updated.

2. Area. Poorly populated, extremely poorly sourced.

3. Population. Again, poorly populated/source. Also a very fluid number that's best dealt with in the main article.

Any comments? Bromley86 (talk) 06:28, 9 July 2017 (UTC)

Been a few days. I'll put through the Population removal. Bromley86 (talk) 07:49, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

The People’s Socialist Republic of Kiska:

In 1942, Kiska was occupied by 500 Japanese soldiers. 28 Americans died retaking the island, while the Japanese left a year later. On July 1, 2050, A group of communist radicals called Antifa bought the island and succeeded from the U.S. They began building a communist dystopia. They welcomed people by the thousands, communist sympathizers, radical liberals, venezuelan refugees, and so on. By 2068, the Island had a population of 60,000 people. By 2100, the population reached 103,000 souls who wished to live under communism in the city of Kiskagrad and port city of Fort Lennin. Building their own military, reeducation camps were built for those born on the island who did not believe in communism. All of age men were required to serve in the military. The PSRK would become the recipient of numerous human rights violations. The economy was on the verge of collapse. Kiskagrad and Fort Lennin were home to many ghettos of people brainwashed into thinking they had it better than the rest of the world. The country’s survival depended on its alliance with North Korea who supplied it with nuclear bombs to defend themselves from the United States. Now Kiska and the U.S. remain in a hostile stand off against each other. However the U.S. leads many missions to rescue people from the island. BrownSa1 (talk) 13:32, 23 August 2017 (UTC)

Errant Republic of Menda Lerenda Founded: 1999 Description: The Errant Republic of Menda Lerenda is a micronation officially proclaimed in 1999 that defines the individual as an independent and moving Republic in itself. It accepts as the national territory the surface that occupies its sovereign in each moment, without transgressing another spaces or territories. It is legitimized by documentation submitted to a Member State of the European Union. Named "Errant" for its mobility and "Menda Lerenda" for the Latin expression in defining oneself, the official documentation proves that every person can be sovereign of its own Independent Republic.

Kingdom of North Sudan

Hi, Septrillion and others, for some reason there is the redirect article Kingdom of North Sudan, redirecting to this list, and Kingdom of North Sudan (state), redirecting to Bir Tawil, the "location" of the "Kingdom of North Sudan". I see (1) no reason to the two redirecting to different articles (I suppose everyone can agree on this.) (2) no reason to have Kingdom of North Sudan (state) at all as the name (i.e. what is looked for) is "Kingdom of North Sudan". I suggest: (1) Kingdom of North Sudan redirects to Bir Tawil in a way similar to Aramoana (which links to Save Aramoana Campaign) or Filettino (which is basically an article about a standard village). NB There might be more appropriate example but I did not go through the whole list. (2) The sourced info pertaining to Kingdom of North Sudan (or perhaps some of it, as it seems too detailed to me, but that is just a personal opinion) that was present in this list shloud be retained in the list or in Bir Tawil. (3) Listing the entry as "Kingdom of North Sudan" (based on an earlier version of this list) and not simply "North Sudan" as it might get confused with Sudan (see lede there). Please let me know what you think, preferably about the specific point I made. Thanks, WikiHannibal (talk) 16:22, 1 June 2018 (UTC)

Retargeted. ~~‭~~Septrillion10Eleventeen 00:33, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
The Bir Tawil article does not talk about the "Kingdom of North Sudan" at all, so it's a redirect with no context and the reader is not going to get any further information on the Kingdom. The list entry talks about the micronation, and includes external sources, which is probably all that is needed. ... discospinster talk 13:21, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

Can we please add the Viejšnoryja (Veyshnoria) micronation? Has its articles in English and Ukrainian Wikipedias.

Since September 2017, a web-based Veyshnoria have been proclaimed, which started acquiring the signs of an internet-based micronation with more than 10 thousand people signing for "citizenship"[1][2].

З 30 серпня 2017 року «органи влади» Вейшнорії представлені в Інтернеті.[3]

With that being said, I propose adding this information to the list:

Official title Flag (if available) Founded Description
Republic of Viejšnoryja 2017 Crypto-micronation emerged and established during the Russian-Belarusian "Zapad-2017" military exercises, with 15 thousand people signing for citizenship[4][5].

Thanks in advance! B.niekrashevich (talk) 08:29, 10 July 2018 (UTC)

No. WP:WTAF. The Wikipedia article you point to is not about the supposed micronation. It is about a fictional entity used for military training purposes. If the micronation you mention is notable then write an article about it. Meters (talk) 20:45, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for your reply! I, though, would like to clarify that the micronation is based upon this "fictional entity used for military training purposes", which makes it impossible to write an article featuring the micronation solely - you will still need to explain the context behind. In the same way, the "fictional entity used for military training purposes" has no real notability without the Internet reaction on it - and the establishment of the micronation is a part of this reaction. Also, the article I mentioned used to feature a big chunk of information about the micronation, but for some reason it was removed despite that all the information was clearly referenced with third-party sources - and, I believe, this violates the rules of Wikipedia.
And another thank you for your advice, for it is surely valuable, but I afraid I can not follow it, because I am not a native speaker of English, which makes it hard for me to write an article suitable for English Wikipedia. Though I will try to find a solution :) B.niekrashevich (talk) 05:20, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
I don't see that there would be any issue with mentioning the fictional entity in an article about a resulting micronation.. It's quite possible there are enough sources (they do not have to be in English) to justify an article about the micronation, and your English seems quite good to me. Why don't you give the article a shot? I would suggest writing it as a draft or in your user space. Let me know if you do so and want me to check any English (or other) issues.. The cited article looks good enough to me. About a third of it is about the micronation - a separate article about the micronation would likely be merged with it anyway. I don't think excluding this one is within the spirit of the criteria. GeoEvan (talk) 09:52, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

Kingdom of North Sudan

I removed this as not having an article to show its notability, which is generally a requirement for inclusion on stand alone lists, as is proof that the subject meets the criteria for the list (i.e., being a micronation. I suggested that an article be written first. user:WikiHannibal undid saying that WTAF only applies to redlinks and that there was consensus to include this entry on Talk:Bir Tawil.

  1. Consensus on Talk:Bir Tawil to avoid a problem there by having Kingdom of North Sudan point to this page instead is all very nice for that page, but it is not justification or consensus for having inappropriate material on this list.
  2. There's no redlink here because Kingdom of North Sudan is not an article. It is simple a redirect to this list. I assume there was an article and it was redirected to Bir Tawil, before the discussion there.
  3. There is nothing to say that the particular claim entered in this list is the best claim or that it even qualifies as a proper micronation. Per Bir Tawil "Due to its status as de jure unclaimed territory, multiple individuals and organizations have attempted to claim Bir Tawil as a micronation. However, none has been taken seriously by the international community, and due to the remoteness and hostile climate of the region, the vast majority of these claims have been by declarations posted online from other locations. None of these claims, or any others, have been recognized, officially or otherwise, by any government or international organization"

I'm removing the claim again unless there is consensus here to include it or an article is written showing its notability and qualifications as a micronation.Meters (talk) 22:26, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

This is a clear example of a notable micronation. If our criteria for inclusion don't make room for it, then the criteria need to be changed. GeoEvan (talk) 09:54, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
If it's notable then WP:WTAF Meters (talk) 21:10, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
If it does not qualify for an article then it does not belong on this page either. This list is not a place to deposit material that does not qualify for a stand-alone article. It appears to me that the entry, the longest on the entire list, was an attempt to do that. Meters (talk) 21:26, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
I would gladly write an article because that micronation is of great interest - look up "Kingdom of North Sudan" and see the large number of existing written ressources.
But I have the problem that I don't know how to change an article which is a link to a real article. Thanks in advance in pointing me to the right guideline. Agerskov (talk) 06:58, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
Those advocating for it to be deleted from this list are being overly rigid in their interpretations of the policies. If there is a consensus to discuss it as a major section of another article (as mentioned at the beginning of this talk section), that should be good enough. Don't forget WP:USC. When users propose adding their micronations on this talk page, we tell them they need "reliable sources". Kingdom of North Sudan has many, many reliable sources. There's no need to add an extra layer of gatekeeping. GeoEvan (talk) 20:37, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

Why isn’t Kekistan listed?

Why isn’t Kekistan listed? I don’t know why Wiki will not allow a separate entry for it and just lists it under the Pepe the Frog page? But Kekistan is listed as a “fictitional country” here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepe_the_Frog. And the Wiki entry for Nutopia says it is a “conceptual country”. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutopia How does a fictional country differ to a conceptual country according to Wiki admins? Obviously there are many “reliable” sources about Kekistan. I am not messing with editing this page. I am simply inquiring why, given that Kekistan is more famous than any of the listed micronations other than Nutopia, it is not listed? And is there anything I can do to help get it listed? I am not joking. I am serious. Thanks for explaining. DErnestWachter (talk) 01:19, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

It's not a micronation, "conceptual country" doesn't meet the definition. Acroterion (talk) 01:53, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Nutopia is listed as a “conceptual country” on the Wiki page for Nutopia. It meets no requirements for being a micronation as far as I can see. But it is listed here and on the micronation flag page too. I am seeking precise details as to how Kekistan has not yet met the requirements for being listed as a micronation. From what I have read on other websites it has met all the requirements. Which requirement does Wiki see as still being unmet. I will do my best to see Kekistan meets the remaining requirements. Thank you. And fyi, I had no clue a frog i age was not permitted in the Talk section. If you link a Rules for Talk Pages I will review all the rules. I am using the Talk section to learn Wiki protocols. My Wiki skill level is low. Thanks. DErnestWachter (talk) 02:46, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Nutopia should be removed if land territory claims are required

Why is Nutopia allowed to be listed as a micronation as it does not meet the requirements? It lays claim to no land for one thing. Wiki should be fair. It should be removed from this list or else please explain why it is allowed to remain listed. Thank you. DErnestWachter (talk) 03:06, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Acroterion Who seems to be a Wiki admin stated; “conceptual country" doesn't meet the definition [of a micronation]. But Nutopia is listed as a conceptual country by Wiki on the entry for Nutopia. Why isn’t Wiki being consistent? DErnestWachter (talk) 03:09, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

The alphabetic ordering needs fixed

The K micronations are not in proper alphabetic order. Someone should alphabetize the list. DErnestWachter (talk) 01:21, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

If the order need to be fixed, you can be WP:BOLD and do so yourself. If you make a mistake, someone will either fix it or revert back to the previous version. If the latter happens and they leave an edit summary explaining why, which they should do, then follow WP:BRD. If they don't leave an edit summary explaining why, then try to seek clarification, unless it seems to be a clear cut case of WP:VANDAL. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:57, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
I have been accused of being a Vandal and am not messing with stuff unless I am fully confident it is fine and dandy. I am not a Vandal. But I was told my account would be deleted if Vandalism was even suspected again. And I was just told that because I asked a question the wrong way in the Talk section, using an image in my question, that I would have my account deactivated if I asked questions using an image again. So you can see why I am not being WP:BOLD. Admin here are easily offended imho. Thanks for encouraging me though. I wish more people were encouraging here.

Missing micronations: Atlantis, etc.

Someone please add the following three micronations to the table in this article. They're already listed in the Micronations template at the bottom of this article, and they have their own sections in other Wikipedia articles, but they're missing from the table in the article. I'd do it myself, except the article is protected.

Operation Atlantis

No flag

 Bahamas

1968-1973

An American tried to construct a habitable sea platform in international waters for a new, libertarian nation.

Freedomland

Spratly Islands

1956–1974

A Filipino tried to found a micronation on some uninhabited islands.

Wanstonia

No flag

 England

1980s

When England tried to demolish some homes to build a road, some of the residents declared their homes were an independent micronation.

Fredonia

Fredonia is on the list but seems like a questionable case of a "micronation" to me. If we include every armed group that seizes control of a town and makes a semi-serious declaration of independence, the list is going to double in length with a bunch of rebel movements from around the world and throughout history. For example, does the Bangsamoro Republik belong on this list? What about the State of Azawad? I think that would be against the purpose of this article, and would quickly diminish its usefulness. But I fail to see why Fredonia is more like a micronation than like those other cases. GeoEvan (talk) 21:54, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

Removing micronations that have no article

Finnusertop, in his message above, diligently checked each listed micronation as to how it is covered on Wikipedia. The main things that seem to have changed in the 14 months since is that Republic of Minerva has an article now, largely thanks to Finnusertop (Changes to the article since Finnusertop created the list: diff=976934014) and that Namiseom#Naminara was deleted because “the supposed source does not mention a micronation. On the contrary, it says it's part of Chuncheon”. That inspired me to look at the sources.

Here is the updated list, garnished with information about the sources used: ✔️ = reliable source(s) that I checked, ☐ = apparently reliable reference(s) that I did not check, ◯ = source(s) that I know too little about to assess their reliability, ❌ = non-neutral source(s), ⭕ = source(s) not available, 🛑 = no sources or not in source(s).

  1. Has a section in the article of the corresponding real geographical feature: Aramoana ◯, Filettino (section about “Campaign for independence”) ✔️ , Forvik ✔️, Kingdom of Hay-on-Wye ✔️, Icaria ☐, L'Anse-Saint-Jean ❌, Republic of Perloja ◯, Užupis ✔️, Whangamomona (section about “Republic Day”) ◯.
  2. Has a section in some other kind of article: Humanity ☐, Lovely ☐, NSK State ⭕❌ (but brief mention, without using the name “NSK State”, in Seattle PI, a reliable source)
  3. Does not have a section, but has substantial coverage in the article: Fredonia ✔️, Poyais ✔️
  4. Does not have a section, and is only briefly mentioned in the article: North Dumpling ✔️, Repubblica di Sbarre Centrali 🛑, Waveland ✔️
  5. Neither has a section nor is mentioned: Republic of Hout Bay, Naminara Republic

The ones in group 5 should doubtlessly be deleted, and I will do so shortly. The ones without reliable sources should also be deleted, unless reliable sources establishing their notability can be found. The remaining ones deserve some discussion. ◅ Sebastian 05:56, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
Note that I didn't check sources here in this article. If there is any entry that has reliable sources here, but not in the main article, please copy them there. ◅ Sebastian 06:12, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

I think I can summarize this and you'll understand why: No. —moonythedwarf (Braden N.) 20:57, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

Perloja, Icaria and Vevčani

Perloja and Icaria created during the war and the goal of the inhabitants was change of state and if so, it is no different from e.g Republic of Tarnobrzeg, in my opinion they should be removed.

Republic of Vevčani, in turn, despite its unclear status at the beginning became standard micronation. 213.192.68.53 21:15 18.11.20 — Preceding undated comment added 20:17, 18 November 2020 (UTC)

mistakes

add

- in my opinion Republic of Vevčani and Laàs should be on the list

- can be added to the list Manchukuo Temporary Government and Washitaw Nation

remove

- Fredonian Rebellion and Icaria doesn't fit here, because their citizens they wanted to change their territorial affiliation and they were out of Mexicos and Ottomans control. If they were to stay Icaria declared independence from Ottoman Empire not from Greece.

- Perloja it arose as something temporary in the same circumstances as Republic of Tarnobrzeg, Republic of Zakopane, Stavropol Soviet Republic

Merge of Empire of Angyalistan

This was recently merged here after AFD. An AFD close should not override consensus on this article that we only list notable micronations with Wikipedia articles. I have removed it from the list [2], and will be opening a deletion review. Meters (talk) 19:58, 19 January 2022 (UTC)

Actually, the list had an entry for Empire of Angyalista, and the link was simply removed when the article was redirected here.[3] Meters (talk) 20:01, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
I'll ping the closing admin User:Sandstein and see if we can settle this simply without a review. Meters (talk) 20:10, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
What do you want me to do? Please also link to any applicable discussions. Sandstein 22:14, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
@Sandstein: The summary of what to include in this list (including a quote of the edit notice that comes up when someone edits the article, saying that this list only includes micronations with a Wikipedia article) is pinned to this page, and so is the merge notice with the link to the AFD. There is a long history of removing or not adding entries that do not have articles.
You closed the AFD as "merge" based on an editor comment in the AFD, but this list is not here to list non-notable micronations. I'm not trying to give you a hard time. This is not the first time something similar has happened on this article. The editor who suggested a merge was wrong. This is not an appropriate target for non-notable micronations. The editor wrote Merge with List of micronations, where the topic is already mentioned; individual notability not established with significant coverage It was only in this list because we had the article to show its notability. It makes no sense to remove the article because the topic is not notable, but then to redirect it here because it is listed here. The redirect should be deleted and the AFD amended. I'm simply asking if that requires a formal deletion review. Meters (talk) 20:32, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
I had just proposed a merger as an alternative to deletion (something I rarely do) and so consensus could be achieved more easily. I would support changing the outcome of that AfD if I was really mistaken. A deletion review will probably be a waste of time however, you may want to take it to RfD directly, if the outcome can't be quickly altered by request. Avilich (talk) 21:05, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
I asked you to link the AfD you refer to, and you didn't. I've got other things to do than to hunt down whatever this may be about. Sandstein 22:14, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
Wow. As I said, the AFD is linked on this page. You added it two months ago here [4]. Sorry if I didn't realize you considered reading the first line of the talk page such an onerous task. Here it is Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Empire_of_Angyalistan. Meters (talk) 00:16, 21 January 2022 (UTC)

Micronation: Slowjamastan

Founded: 2022

Full Name: The United Territories of The Sovereign Nation of The People's Republic of Slowjamastan

Territory: United States

Description: Slowjamastan was a micronation founded in early 2022 by Sultan Williams, a DJ that travels around the world, since Covid Hit California he wasn't allowed to visit any country, so 2 years later he founded Slowjamastan. It is located between Ocotillo and Westmoreland, California On Highway 78. And yes, Sultan William's Country count is still 175. It has 12 states, of which 4 are named. It is about 37 Miles North of the closet Mexican Border. Sultan Williams has big plans for this New Micronation. The current City and the Capital is Dublandia in the Adminitive Seat State. Changing the title

I think that the title should be changed to List of notable micronations because this is a list for micronations that are only well known and have a Wikipedia page.

Thanks A MicroWikipedian Wikipedian (talk) 13:43, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

The current title is fine, if we change it to that someone might suggest List of non-notable micronations, so having a generalized article like this one helps to avoid those scenarios. So current placement requirements is to have an article locally that meets Wikipedia:GNG independently, then that is when it can listed here. - DownTownRich (talk) 13:25, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
I think for Wikipedia list articles the criterion for inclusion is notability by default. List of X means all the X's are in Wikipedia or are sufficiently referenced. The alternatives are lists comprehensive relative to some other criterion: e.g., List of Schools in CityX or List of Books by AuthorX. -- M.boli (talk) 15:20, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
Notability is implied per WP:LISTCRIT. Adding the word to the title is redundant and unnecessarily verbose. --Kinu t/c 16:27, 26 May 2022 (UTC)

this small government was overthrown and is interestingly now a government in exile that still survives as an entity to this day, and this is their website https://republicofaquitaine.com/index.htm they are lead by who calls himself "THOMAS II GRAND DUKE OF AQUITAINE" who is a descendant of the previous dukes before the state was overthrown by france.https://www.republicofaquitaine.com/Kinship.htm#thomas this is his line

it has very interesting history and was not just made one day on a whim, this government is as i said, a part of history and should be on this wikipedia page especially because of its unique case. it fits the description of not just a micronation, but also a government in exile.

thank you :) Paithea (talk) 17:12, 10 June 2022 (UTC)

Read the pinned post at the top of the page. Does it have a Wikipedia article to show its notability? Does it have reliable independent sources showing that it is a micronation? Meters (talk) 21:33, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
A good start would be to reach out to WikiProject Micronations about the said micronation. WikiProject Micronations is a wikiproject is a group of editors focused on creating and maintaining micronations articles in Wikipedia in accordance with the article creation standards. Then if an article is made then that is when it can be added to this page. Happy editing. DownTownRich (talk) 19:11, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
