Shouldn't the "Hacker Coolio" be under a seperate page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.196.86.165 (talk) 15:01, 21 June 2005 (UTC)

It's february 2006,

is there any word on his "new album"?

Coolio was also

a member of WC and the Maad Circle prior to doing any solo work.

"I'm 23 now but will I live to see 24? The way things are going I dunno."

- wasn't he closer to 33 when that song came out? Rogerthat Talk 09:52, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Coolio

is a great artist with many great songs. He helped to change Hip-Hop for the better. We should all be respectful of him and not critical.--Vegen8tor 00:21, 14 December 2006 (UTC)--

Totally agreed, the only better are other Compton rappers. Eazy-E, MC Eiht... 75.153.204.116 04:33, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Amish Paradise

Isn't his song called "Amish Paradise", not "Gangsta's Paradise"? Sunshine 14:44, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

No, "Amish Paradise" is the name of the parody done by "Weird Al" Yankovic of said song. I have added a note about this in the 'Trivia' section. Thank you for noticing that this was missing. WatchAndObserve 14:54, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
I think this article should mention that Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise" is based (nominally and musically) on Stevie Wonder's "Pastime Paradise". It would be especially appropriate to mention it in the place where it talks about Coolio getting mad about Weird Al doing a spoof of Coolio's song.

I agree with you Cheeda777. There was the 2Pac-Big E fued, and then there was the Coolio Weird Al feud. Both ended tragically. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.181.98.125 (talk) 07:41, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Somebody's Gotta Die

Isnt it called Somebody's Gotta Die, not I dont wanna die?

Movie

He was in a chinese movie called China Strike Force. It should be mentioned here. Good movie, Coolio must really know how to fight like that, or it was a stunt double. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.20.205.80 (talk) 06:22, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

He was in America's Funniest Videos, episode that aired on March 10, 2008. He voted for a monkey smelling it's butt as the funniest video. Guess smelling butts is funny to strange people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.42.186.207 (talk) 19:55, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Coolio.com

I was looking up Coolio's discography on All Music Guide when I saw 2 albums not listed on this site, Coolio.com and Coolio & Friends, anyone know anything about those albums? —Preceding unsigned comment added by SameAsItEverWas (talkcontribs) 07:00, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Birthplace

I don't get his birthplace, was he born in Monessen, PA or Compton or Los Angeles, CA? it says in the info box he was born in Compton, but in the article, it says he was born in Monessen, but other sites says he was born in Los Angeles- SCB '92 (talk) 14:38, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Coolio Birthplace Confirmation

My site, ChefDiddy, ran an article stating that Coolio was born in Monessen, PA. This caused a few people in the Pittsburgh Area to wonder why, before the article, they never heard of this. The original article cited Wikipedia as the source.

One dedicated reader did some research, and believed to have found the reason. In the song I Remember from his 1993 album It Takes a Thief Coolio is singing with Billy Boy. It was Billy Boy who says he remembers runnin' through the streets of Monessen, PA. Not Coolio.

This then led the same reader to contact Coolio via Twitter to ask him where he was born. Coolio surprisingly responded and said Los Angelos. We have a follow up article that contains the original tweet to Coolio as well as his Direct Message response along with the clip from the song that references Monessen, PA.
