9/28/2022 - A possible Internet death hoax[edit]

I'm scouring the Internet for Coolio's cause of death after seeing his name in the Wikipedia "2022 deaths' page for this month. I'm thinking there was a mistake considering there was a seal named Coolio at the Pittsburgh Zoo who died, not the rapper. Jason 72 (talk) 01:02, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace[edit]

There is a very good chance those "major news sources" cribbed either Wikipedia or something that got the information from Wikipedia. I would consider the California birth index cited in the article as more reliable. In any case, there's likely to be an obituary published soon that would probably have the right information. Good evening, I am the eldest daughter of late America rapper Coolio and I see that there is some misinformation on his page. He has 7 children which only 1 is by late wife Josefa Salinas. Acting career[edit]

The article doesn't make any mention of his film and TV career, despite displaying a rather lengthy filmography. The intro should probably say "rapper and actor." What determines which of his television appearances are relevant enough for note in the subsection of Music Career?[edit]

Given it's a subsection of "Music Career," I would assume that most of the mentioned appearances would be ones in which he raps or performs musically, but it doesn't seem to have any throughline. Personally, I'd reduce this down to only reference works in which he performed musical material originating in that work.

There is also a filmography section, but I agree that mention should be made in the introduction of his prolific film/television appearances, since he appeared consistently in media from 1996-2021. Aos Sidhe (talk) 17:44, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
