For the record, I am the user formerly known as 24.211.211.39, and made the edit about the town originally being German. This was reversed on lack of verifiable sources. However, if one checks the US Census records, for all censuses from the establishment of the town through 1910 inclusive, the town name is German. In 1920 and all subsequent censuses, the town is Clark. I stumbled on this through genealogical research, though I have not found an ordinance or legislative bill that establishes this name change. However, I believe it is informative enough that the data should be included. How would one go about quoting the situation outlined in my census record research?
