NPOV Issues and call for citations[edit]

I've removed a large section of this article as it's uncited and heavily, in my view, promotes the school. There is still a need for third party citations which meet Wikipedia standards. Perhaps editors might bear in mind WP:WPSCH/AG, specifically those regarding neutral point of view -- Blue Square Thing (talk) 20:25, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good to see some improvement and some references produced. Thank you for that. But we need to make sure this doesn't read like an advert for the school and that references are from third party sources. There are still a number of direct links in the article which lead to sources that don't mention the school at all on the page linked to, if at all. These need to be replaced by in line citations to reliable third party sources rather than simply replaced. Keep up the good work but be aware of the need for the article to not read like an advert for the school and to deal with what is notable rather than promote the activities of the school -- Blue Square Thing (talk) 14:20, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gareth Barham Memorial Building[edit]

The last references I can find online have Gareth Barham surviving heart surgery. I may be missing the reference but until we can provide some kind of citation then I think this point needs to be kept out of the article -- Blue Square Thing (talk) 20:58, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Remove Primary Sources Tag[edit]

Article undergone extensive research to identify impartial third-party references for the school; usually from Bury Free Press (BFP), East Anglian Daily Times (EADT) or citing external accreditation web sites and Department of Education or local authority performance tables -- Merlins31 (talk) 16:08, 05 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would agree certainly. You've done a good job with this - it's probably at a stage where we should start to look at WP:WPSCH/AG and perhaps compare it to some GA status school articles to see if we can start to work it up to that sort of level. I'll have a wee bit of time in a couple of weeks (exams...), but it would be worth other editors taking a look at those sorts of things as well as perhaps picking up some of the WP:MOS points that would need to be addressed. name[edit]

why exactly is the name still "Bury St Edmunds County Upper School?" the name has been de facto "Bury St Edmunds County High School" since 2023. I see no reason to display blatantly false information when the reality is clear 2A00:23C6:E705:C301:1983:AACE:8B6A:E806 (talk) 15:28, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
