Silveh (Persian: سيلوه), also Romanized as Sīlveh,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Lahijan-e Gharbi Rural District of Lajan District of Piranshahr County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran. The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Darbekeh.[4] The village can be flooded when the Silveh Dam reaches full capacity.[5]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 919 in 168 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 963 people in 232 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 286 people in 80 households.[2]
