Saral District (Persian: بخش سارال) is in Divandarreh County, Kurdistan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Hezar Kanian.[3]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 16,468 in 3,335 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 15,277 people in 3,859 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 9,884 inhabitants in 2,519 households.[2]
After the census, the village of Hezar Kanian was elevated to the status of a city.[6]
