Qareh Kand (Persian: قره كند), also known as Qarā Kand,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Akhtachi Rural District of the Central District of Bukan County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 327 in 54 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 460 people in 94 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 422 people in 96 households.[2]
