Fathabad (Persian: فتح اباد, also Romanized as Fatḩābād)[3] is a village in, and the former capital of, Vardasht Rural District[4] of Vardasht District, Semirom County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as capital of the district.[5] The capital of the rural district was transferred to the village of Varaq.[6]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,218 in 283 households, when it was in the Central District.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 1,520 people in 420 households.[8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,023 people in 582 households, by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Vardasht District.[5] It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
