Churizhi (Persian: چوریژی), also Romanized as Chūrīzhī; also known as Chūrzhī,[3] is a village in, and the former capital of, Shamshir Rural District of the Central District of Paveh County, Kermanshah province, Iran.[4] The capital has been transferred to Shamshir.[5]
At the 2006 National Census, Churizhi's population was 1,858 in 456 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 2,413 people in 695 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,717 people in 833 households.[2]
