Language icons[edit]

Those language icons have been around since mid 2005, and were standardized (and fairly common) in early 2006 ;) --Quiddity 02:10, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trust coloring[edit]

This story was slashdotted on August 31 ;) --Quiddity 02:28, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The older coloring/trust metric was possibly http://researchweb.watson.ibm.com/visual/projects/chromogram.html ? (via this slashdot story, which also links http://www.abeautifulwww.com/2007/05/20/visualizing-the-power-struggle-in-wikipedia/ which might be what wikirage was inspired by?]) --Quiddity 02:39, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Database Dumps failing[edit]

Do any other sorts of backups run against the wikipedia databases or is this the only backup method? Is there a discussion page on this open somewhere so that others may be able to offer help or advice on getting this resolved asap? I've not be able to find anything out, and it looks like the last enwiki backup was cancelled even before it started. I personally would like to see at least the pages-articles dumped out. Thanks. --Alun Liggins 16:26, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
