                                                            ALLAMA IQBAL   
             It is said that:     
                          “History is determined by great men.”
               It is true. Great men are not born daily. Humanities have to wait for centuries for great men.  Allama Iqbal is one of these great men. I am charmed by great personality of Allama Iqbal. He is my favourite poet. He is our national poet. I am very fond of him because I know that:
                                     “He   who  does   not   love    great   men
                               Has no right ot claim greatness for himself” 
             Sir Muhammad Iqbal, widely known as Allama Iqbal, was a poet, philosopher, and politician. He is called the "Spiritual father of Pakistan". He was born at Sialkot on November 9, 1877. He was Sheikh by caste. His father Sheikh Noor Muhammad (died 1930), was a tailor. He was very noble and religious man.
                    Allama Iqbal got his early education from Sialkot. Then, he went to Government College Lahore and did his M.A. in philosophy. Then, he went to England for higher education. He studied Law in England. He got his Ph.D degree from Germany. 
                    In Government College, he was impressed by Professor Arnold. The Professor advised him to develop his poetic talent. Allama Iqbal acted upon his advice and started writing poetry.
                     In 1908, he came back to home and started work as a lawyer. Soon, he left this work and began to devote his energies to writing poetry.
                     Allama Iqbal is the thinker of Pakistan. He gave the idea of Pakistan. He is the poet of East. He wrote many poems. His poems please the young and old alike. His poems give us the message of hope and success. He aroused the Indian Muslims from deep dream.
                     The philosophy of self-realization is the gist of his poetry. His famous books are “Asrar-e-Khudi , Bang-i-Dara,  Bal-i-Jibril, Zarb-i Kalim  and Zabur-i-Ajam.
                 Allama Iqbal, the best poet of world, died on April 21, 1938. He is buried near Badshahi Mosque in Lahore. His poetry will always fresh in our minds.
                      “For a thousand years the narcissus has been lamenting its blindness
