Multiple articles on the same topic[edit]

Hello, everybody. I discovered that at least a couple of people in your group attempted to create multiple articles that were all translations of zh:洛陽橋. However, Wikipedia doesn't carry multiple articles covering the same topic. If two articles appear about the same topic, then:

  • If they have essentially the same content, or one is substantially a subset of the other, then
  • If both have titles under which one might reasonably search for the topic, then one can be redirected to the other.
  • If the one that might be redirected has a title that anyone is unlikely to search for, then the article can be deleted under speedy deletion criterion A10.
  • If each has substantial content that the other doesn't have, then a merger process should be started.

For this reason, I've just redirected three articles associated with this project to a fourth one, Luoyang Bridge (Quanzhou). Please keep this in mind when selecting an article to create. Largoplazo (talk) 20:06, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
