The one complaint about this procedure I have is that sometimes there are individual users who get extremely zealous about image removal and tend to go after particular users who they feel are uploading bad images. In many cases, the user targeted might not know the particulars of copyright-licensing law and then feels they are being harassed. One thing I noticed in the last section of the essay was the repeated statements to "monitor users", "follow contributions", "check their edits", etc etc. I don't think one user should be doing that to another no matter how good the intentions are since it looks and feels like wiki-stalking to the target (even if by the letter of the law it is not). Now I myself don't know image rules well and have gotten in trouble with this in the past which is why I try to avoid uploading hardly anything these days. I also dont know what the solution is, only that when we have individual users acting as "image police" the results in the end tend to turn out bad with some of the nastiest user fights I've seen on this site being related to this issue. -OberRanks (talk) 20:39, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
