Log 2 isn't working properly[edit]

This is not a joke BTW. The red coloring from the Adobe Flash nomination has somehow affected all nominations below it that don't set their own color, and is most likely the reason why it and everything below it isn't split into sections like it should be. QuicoleJR (talk) 15:26, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@AlphaBeta135: Do you think that you can fix the Adobe Flash nomination so it doesn't screw up the log? QuicoleJR (talk) 15:36, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Someone apparently deleted the navbox and the closing </div> tag, so I readded it AlphaBeta135 talk 15:43, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Everything is working now. Thanks! QuicoleJR (talk) 15:45, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

...[edit]

Please note, that in any moment, the main page for this year's April Fools' will disappear and will explode. I urge everyone to find a secret weapon that I will use. It is not linked to at all, and is found somewhere in my userpage. If found, leave me a note on my talk. Thanks! Toadette (April Fools Day!) 16:35, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What Happened?[edit]

Why was Francis Scott Key Bridge (Baltimore) redacted and delated under a rule of violation, besides joke being in an bad taste? 2601:205:C001:EA0:74D0:9EE7:C435:C350 (talk) 04:01, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you asking what happened to the Francis Scott Key Bridge, a few weeks ago it got hit by a cargo ship and it instantly collapsed. People lost their lives. It was very tragic.
I recall seeing joke AfDs in the past that were a bit dark, but because this incident was so recent, joking about it is not in good taste. Therefore, it was censored. Diriector_Doc├─────┤TalkContribs 18:57, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was the one who added the "redacted nominations" for the Key Bridge and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Also, if you were wondering, these topics were never nominated for deletion (1, 2), because they were (and still are) highly contentious. Somebody else tried to nominate Israel for deletion, but was later deleted for being distasteful. AlphaBeta135 talk 11:56, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The actual reason it was deleted was because the creator was not extended-confirmed and therefore could not create or edit pages about Israel or Palestine. QuicoleJR (talk) 13:01, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notes[edit]

  1. ^ The actual vote said "Jimbo Wales" but since this is not the name of the article, instead his username, it was deduced that the voter meant to say "Jimmy Wales."
  2. ^ I would consider this to be in a gray area of voting. Operation Radiance is a collection of nominations, not just one. Users could vote for it as their favourite non-AfD prank, but I must disqualify this vote because I can't give voters two votes for one category.
  3. ^ You cannot vote for more than one. This vote is disqualified, but it's not like it would tip the scales anyway.
  4. ^ I don't recall this ever happening 🤔
  5. ^ a b c d You need to vote for something if you're going to vote at all.
  6. ^ ???

Conclusion[edit]

The Non-AfD and Prankster votes were solid races with clear-cut winners. It seems the Parking Lot was an obvious favourite. Also, even though Operation Radiance itself didn't win, the creator — AlphaBeta135 — was more than recognized. Congratulations to both.

And that brings us to the AfD vote. To my, and probably everyone else's surprise, there is a tie. Both nominations in first place had only three votes each. Another key feature of these nominations specifically is that both pranks broke the fourth wall in some way. Déjà vu was nominated three times within twenty-four hours, playing on the fact that "Déjà vu" means "already seen." Procrastination was alluded to in 2023, and then was finally nominated one full year later, playing onto the concept of intentionally putting off a task to be done at a later time.

A tie is cool and all, but I think after 40 people casted their votes, there deserves to be a decisive winner. After a bit of thinking, I have decided to give the crown to Procrastination, for two reasons. Firstly, Déjà vu was my own prank. While it's nice to have received so many votes, I don't feel right awarding myself the tie-breaker. Secondly, Procrastination deserves to win. This prank was a year in the making; the dedication to the bit is very honourable. Therefore, as my final ruling, I declare Procrastination the winner of April Fools' Day 2024!

Thank you to everyone who voted. I will see you all next year! Diriector_Doc├─────┤TalkContribs 06:28, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I would like to say thank you for ruling my Procrastination AfD as the winner of this year's April Fools' Day celebration. Ryanisgreat4444 (talk) 13:19, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I also have something to say about it, but I have other things to do right now. I will come back to this later. QuicoleJR (talk) 13:00, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
