Hi, I would like to nominate Wilfred Owen to be the featured article on 4th November 2008, the centenary of the death during World War One. Many students in schools have studied his poetry over the past 100 years, including myself, but especially this year considering, only a week later, it is the centenary of the end of the First World War. Wilfred wrote what he saw, he did not write the stirring poetry of others, his poetry is full of the darkness, grimness of what it was to really have to live, and die, in the trenches. More than any history book, his first hand account recorded in his poetry shows this. Thank you.
