In recognition of Women's History Month, the librarians of Tennessee State University and Vanderbilt University are hosting a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon, to improve coverage of Tennessee State University's Notable Female Alumni. The Edit-a-thon is being conducted heighten representation of women featured articles on Wikipedia.

Event Details[edit]

WHO: We invite Tennessee State University students, faculty, and staff ONLY

WHAT:This Edit-a-thon will focus on replacing 'citation needed' flags with citations to authoritative sources. University librarians and faculty will be on hand to assist with research citation style. This event is FREE.

WHEN: Friday, March 25, 2016, 10:00 AM-1:00 PM CST central time.

WHERE: The edit-a-thon will be held at Tennessee State University's main campus in Room 315 of the Daniel Brown Library.

OTHER: Computers, Wifi and electrical outlets will be provided, but feel free to bring your own laptop for use. It is recommended that you create a Wikipedia account beforehand since Wikipedia has a limit on the number of accounts that can be created in a 24-hour period (currently 6). Please send a message to user:LoisLib if you have difficulty creating a login.
