StatusActive

Persistent sockmaster focused on television articles.

Basic Information

Normally edits from Tunisian TopNet IPs, with occasional edits from Orange Tunisie mobile IPs or Agence Tunisienne Internet. Does not communicate either in talkspace or through edit summaries and edits mainspace nearly exclusively, with periodic edits to templates.

Edits will disruptively change information or add/remove entries and sections without any sources or explanation. Occasionally the edits are good but more often they aren't. Regardless TVFT ignores reverts and blocks, resuming editing once they are on a new IP range. Their only edits on user talk pages are to blank messages they've received (example). TVFT has also edited this LTA case before, once blanking it [1] and other times removing some of the pages they have targeted [2].

Targeted areas, pages, themes

Channels and programs provided by MBC Group as well as television and film articles more generally.

Habitual behavior

Edits tend to occur in long strings with a few minutes between edits.

Recommendations

  • Block sock IPs as identified; consider linking AIV reports to this page to ease identification, complex cases may need to be reported to ANI instead.
  • Semi-protect pages if disruption persists; this sockmaster floats between numerous large IP ranges, and does not communicate or pay any attention to reverts, instead just repeatedly restoring their preferred version (e.g. 1, 2, 3).
