I have also replied to you request for help at the help desk. ViridaeTalk 07:39, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh and I fixed your article, Zero waste so it doesn't stretch the page any more. ViridaeTalk 07:40, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That wasn't my talk page you left that on, that was my user page. If you want to find my talk page, either click on the word talk in my signature or go to my user page (by clicking my name) and click the tab at the top that says "disscussion". Every page on wikipedia has a "disscussion" or talk page, that is where you talk about articles (if it is a article talk page) or communicate with other users (if it is a users talk page). You are still getting those page stretching boxes because you are still indenting the start of a new sentance or paragraph. That tells wikipedia to put the text in a box. (Oh and my name means "Virus family".) ViridaeTalk 13:11, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More useful links[edit]

ViridaeTalk 13:17, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just realisedyou have two of those three - oh well. I think that welcome message above gives a link to the sandbox - go there and fiddle around and try things out. ViridaeTalk 13:20, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh and if you want to indent, like the sentence above, type a : just before what you want to write, (no spaces before it or after it). For example...

:test gives you:

test

::test2 gives you:

test2

Communications help[edit]

When you are on a talk page, you will see a small + tab at the top. This allows you to create a new topic. Simply write your preferred subject/headline in the first box and your comment/question in the second box. Then sign with ~~~~. If you wish to continue a conversation in the same place you may use a colon to indent on the next line. If you wish to communicate directly to someone else, it is best to leave a message on their talk page as this will produce a little "You have messages" box like the one that sent you here.—WAvegetarian(talk) 20:40, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WAvegetarian seems to have beaten me to explaining some of it. I have no idea why you got a file to download when clicking on the disscussion tab. Its a bit odd. When you click on the disscussion tab, you can either click on the + at the top to start a new section (as described above) or you can click edit this page to edit the whole page. Lastly you can click the closest edit button on the right hand side to the section of the page you want to edit. And yes, you must have checked the remember me box when you last logged in if it isn't asking for you to log in. ViridaeTalk 23:18, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
