It is interesting to note that the word "linguist" has no entry in Wikipedia, while you have accepted the terms such as physician. When we type "linguist" it automatically refers to "linguistics". On the other hand, there are equivalents in in Wikipedia for "linguist" in Russian, Swedish and so on . It is not a proper name. I believe that there is a disturbance in classification of entries in Wikipedia. Why you do not use the word "linguist" in wikipedia?     1)   the French and Spanish version of the same article:
    "Les tapis de Mashhad sont classés en deux groupes : les Mashhad et les Mashhad turkbâf. Le turkbâf, comme son nom l'indique, est réalisé au nœud turc par des artisans émigrés de Tabriz à Mashhad au xixe siècle.

    2) the Persian version of the same article:
    "مطابق نوشته‌ها و مدارک موجود قدیمی ترین قالی موجود منسوب به این شهر متعلق به دوره شاه عباس صفوی است."

So the edition should not be removed.

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Manne (word) for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, Finnish Kale. Generally, single words don't have their own articles since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a theasurus. Please try Wiktionary for that instead.

Words[edit]

Hi. You appear to be creating articles which are just dictionary definitions of Finnish words. The problem with that is the English Wikipedia is not a dictionary, and it's certainly not a Finnish dictionary. Please have a read of WP:NOTDICT before you create any more articles. They are the titles of the Wikipedia encyclopedia. You must improve the articles, instead of removing them, because the Wikipedia may be questioned for such terms which have no articles in English. In some articles there are Swedish and German versions, but no article in English could be found. I hope this to be sufficient to your discussion. I personally prefer an encyclopedia with a brief description that guides the reader to another references in Internet rather than a series of articles without any English reference. Hi. We seem to be talking at cross purposes here. I know Wikipedia rules like WP:NOTDICT can be confusing, so I'll try to explain the problem in a bit more detail.
You say "improve the context instead of removing the article", and that is very much part of what we do here. But when it comes to, say, Pendeli (pendulum), how would we do that?
If it's supposed to be an article about the concept of the periodic swinging devices themselves, then we already have that at Pendulum.
But if it is purely about the Finnish word, and is intended to explain its meaning, usage, etymology, etc, then no matter how well it was expanded it would still not be an acceptable article on the English Wikipedia - because it would still be a dictionary definition, and the English Wikipedia community has decided that the English Wikipedia should not host dictionary definitions.
Personally, I think that's sensible. For one thing, if I wanted to know what a word meant (in whatever language) I'd look it up in a dictionary, not in an encyclopedia. And secondly, how many billions of words are there in all the languages of the world? It would be madness to try to include an entry in the English Wikipedia for every one of them.
I can appreciate that you personally might prefer a different approach (and there are rules here that I would like to see changed too), but we have to stick to Wikipedia policy as it is currently formulated (or get it changed by discussion and consensus). All or some of your addition(s) to Scientific misconduct have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder.
