Adoption offer[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you listed yourself as interested in being adopted, so I'd like to offer my services if you'd like. Please let me know on my talk page. -- Cielomobile talk / contribs 22:19, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd start by editing some articles of interest to you. What are your interests in life outside Wikipedia? You can get involved in the relevant WikiProject, and move on from there. For simpler clean-up tasks, I'd recommend checking out the backlog, which lists a bunch of articles in need of attention. Familiarize yourself with the manual of style, grab your cheatsheet, and start editing!
If you have any other questions, just holler. -- Cielomobile talk / contribs 03:51, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

re:Birthday[edit]

Thanks, Wushu. (It's actually my first edit day, though, not my birthday!) I hope you're enjoying Wikipedia. -- Cielomobile talk / contribs 02:06, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tiki Barber[edit]

I'd recommend first giving the IPs a warning (and, if they keep editing from the same IP, eventually reporting them) and then requesting the page for semi-protection. Semi-protection will take care of all unconstructive IP edits. -- Cielomobile talk / contribs 15:54, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

To add to Cielomobile's advice... Since Tiki Barber is a living person, it falls under the rules of WP:BLP, which is a stricter policy regarding unsourced and/or incorrect material. From the BLP policy - "We must get the article right.[1] Be very firm about the use of high quality references. Unsourced or poorly sourced contentious material — whether negative, positive, or just questionable — about living persons should be removed immediately and without discussion from Wikipedia articles,[2] talk pages, user pages, and project space." The three-revert rule does not apply to such removals. Content may be re-inserted only if it conforms to the BLP policy. After removing the material, post your concerns and reason for the removal in the talk page of the article. Morphh (talk) 17:31, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
