About notability and creating articles[edit]

Hi, I've noticed that you are participating in an editing event and have created an article. Unfortunately, it has been declined, due to the lack of notability. In general, subjects must have received significant coverage, in reliable independent sources, such as newspapers, news websites, magazines, books, etc.. The program does not appear to meet this criteria. I've also noticed that many participants have also created similar articles about non-notable subjects. Please inform the edit-a-thon organizer/rest of your group about the notability criteria Wikipedia has. Thanks! Darylgolden(talk) Ping when replying 02:14, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
