Welcome[edit]

Hello, Wiki real good 2, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, and for providing various images, particularly File:Tgshs.gif. Wikipedia prefers to use images which can be released under the GFDL, which circumvents copywrite issues. If you have an image which can be used on WP, either it must be freely available under the GFDL, or a fair use rationale has to be provided, which identifies the owner of the image, amongst other things. I believe that this has now been done (by me) for the TGSHS logo. (The image was to be deleted, but now will be able to be used). If you need assistance respecting other images you believe should be used on WP, please ask for assistance on the Help channel, or through the Community Portal, or I will help if I can. You can leave a message on my Talk-page. And thankyou again for your contributions, which have improved at least one article on WP. Please, as you understand more about Wikipedia editing, you could add some helpful edit-summaries to your edits. (Careful with capital letters too) – Newbyguesses 12:48, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

February 2008[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Jamie Lynn Spears. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Probable poser and private so can't use anyway NrDg 04:57, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Petrie-terrace.gif)[edit]

You've uploaded File:Petrie-terrace.gif, and indicated that it's used under Wikipedia's rules for non-free images. However, it's not presently used in any articles. Wikipedia policy requires that non-free images be either used or deleted, so if this image isn't used in an article in the next week, it will be deleted.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:10, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Petrie Terrace State School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Wikimedians to the Games[edit]

I'd like to invite you to participate Wikimedians to the Games :) It is a great opportunity to help improve Australian related content, and potentially to travel to attend the second biggest sporting event of the year. As you're an existing Wikipedian editor, you should have some advantage because you should know how to contribute and improve articles already. :) If you get to a certain point threshold, there is also a possiblity to travel to Canberra to attend a workshop at the Australian Institute of Sport. --LauraHale (talk) 10:03, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
