Call sign dab pages

Hey, thanks for using the call sign dab pages category — I'm really happy that's been adopted by so many. Just a heads-up that might help; in those situations where the page is mix of call signs and regular entries, you don't have to add the entire category link. You can do the same thing by using a parameter in the regular disambig template, like this — {{disambig|callsign}}. The same thing works for any of the other types of dab pages that have special categories, like airports and geographical subjects. Happy dabbing! Mlaffs (talk) 23:42, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

Oh, and don't forget to add the {{DisambigProject}} template to the talk page. I've caught that up for you on a couple of the ones you've created recently. Mlaffs (talk) 23:44, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

WCLX Page

Hello Wcquidditch. That you for noting and reversing the last edit by Diane Desmond (username "Lucy Frampton.") Diane is a disgruntled former programmer who continues to vandalize the WCLX page. Her vandalism (see "History") includes misspelling my name, changing "Farm Fresh Radio" to "Fart Fresh," "Westport" to West Pork," and power from "6,000" to "600" Watts, mischaracterizing our music format, adding plugs for herself and her Live 365 stream, falsely claiming credit for our call letters, etc. It is childish behavior, but since I own the radio station, I keep the page open and fix or undo changes she makes as soon as I see them.

Is it the intention of Wikipedia that a disgruntled ex-staffer can play out a personal vendetta with an entity's owner on the entity's Wikipedia page? If not, is there any way to prevent such vandalism?

Thank you, Dennis Jackson - username Petertripp (talk) 01:46, 25 November 2009 (UTC)Petertripp

I do think that putting a COI template on that article was a little precipitous, though I can certainly see why you did it. All of User :Lucy Frampton's edits amount to straightforward vandalism. Now, granted, Petertripp has edited his own article - but I don't see any stunning POV prose that you usually see associated with COI articles. In fact, he's managed to remain relatively neutral, which is surprising given the amount of abuse that article has received. Yeah, just something to consider. If you'd be willing to place this article on your watchlist and revert any vandalism you happen to see, it would be most appreciated. SMC (talk) 01:51, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
