This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of films). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

The comment the reviewer left was:

Please note that the notability of a film cannot be established by Q&A interviews in which Tilby and Forbis are talking about their own film in the first person, or by content self-published by film festivals it was screened at -- while some of the sources here are fine, more than half of them are not.
When it comes to awards, for example, please note that Wikipedia does not care about, or ascribe notability based on, "nominations" for film festival awards: by definition, every film that screens at a film festival is automatically a "nominee" for all of the awards that apply to the program it was screened in -- so film festival awards only count if the film wins or gets an honorable mention, while "nominated" only starts to come into play when you're talking about an Oscar, Canadian Screen Award or BAFTA (i.e. the primary national film awards presented by the primary national film academy) shortlist. And even when it comes to award wins, we still only care about a certain specific "elite" tier of highly notable film festivals, and not just every film festival that exists in the world. Even for a film festival award win, the question of whether it's helping the film's notability or not still hinges on whether it is or isn't an award that GNG-worthy media outlets consider significant enough to report as news, not just on using the festival's own website to verify that the award exists.
Accordingly, the "awards" table in the reception section has to be trimmed back to list only the wins and not the "nominations", and even the Ottawa Animation Festival still has to be sourced to third-party reliable source coverage from a real media outlet reporting the festival's awards as news, not to a press release self-published by the festival on its own website. And as for the footnotes outside the awards table, #1 (Mercedes Milligan, "NFB Short ‘The Flying Sailor’ Sets US Fest Premieres in NYC & LA") is the only one that's helping to establish notability at all, because #2 and #3 are both Q&A interviews in which the filmmakers are talking about themselves, #4 comes from an unreliable and non-notable blog, and #5 is just a repetition of the same bad source that's supporting the Ottawa Animation Festival in the awards table.

Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
