No, not really. One edit, nearly eight years ago? Just how many users have you spammed about this? Optimist on the run (talk) 22:29, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

My Userpage

I signed up for wikipedia a long time ago, though I don't recall making any edits. I tried to make one, but I failed at doing so.

Now that I have an understanding of how wikipiedia and other wikis work from working on various projects, I'd like to come back. However, my talk page has a notice saying "Mass deletion of pages added by JMJ1985" which I am confused about, and also states to contact you if I'm creating a page with similar or the same content as before. Am I allowed to create this page? I don't see why I shouldn't be, but it doesn't hurt to make sure. — Preceding unsigned comment added by King kolton9 (talkcontribs) 00:24, 21 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@King kolton9: - hi, welcome back to Wikipedia. I've searched through the logs, and found that in April 2011, JMJ1985 (talk · contribs) went on a vandalism spree, adding fake block notices to several innocent users, including yourself. The quickest way to deal with this was for me to mass-delete all the talk pages he created, which resulted in the deletion message you got on your page. You can see the pages I deleted in my deletion log (see logs for 7 April 2011). The message regarding recreating a deleted page is a generic page applicable to all deleted [ages, and in this case there will be no problem with creating a new talk page for yourself. Hope this helps! Optimist on the run (talk) 11:48, 21 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism

We really need administrator attention at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. CLCStudent (talk) 20:43, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@CLCStudent: WP:ANI is probably still the quickest way to get admin assistance.  — An optimist on the run! (logged on as Pek the Penguin) 07:24, 2 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Already done - this was a one-time notification, so you're already off the list. Mdann52 (talk) 14:02, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Two times it appears. Please stop. Optimist on the run (talk) 16:28, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
