February 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Fulanito do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bmyspace\.com' (link(s): http://www.myspace.com/fulanitodose http://www.myspace.com/doserock) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! XLinkBot (talk) 18:30, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

August 2012[edit]

Your recent editing history at Fulanito shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 03:41, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Verdugo, please see Wikipedia:Signatures--your signature should contain your name and at least one link, to your user page or (I'd prefer that) your user talk page. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 04:16, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Drmies. I corrected it. --Verdugo27 (talk) 22:40, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Fulanito, Reintroduccion.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Fulanito, Reintroduccion.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:57, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

Hello, Verdugo27. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Fulanito, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 15:58, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

State of the Fulanito article[edit]

I've started discussion at Talk:Fulanito#Neutrality tag and sorting out the mess. It appears that another editor, who also has a conflict of interest with the subject, disputes the neutrality and accuracy of the article. At this point, I make the same suggestion to you that I did to him: don't edit the article directly, but propose changes on the article's talk page. If consensus emerges to support the change, then change it. —C.Fred (talk) 15:58, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest noticeboard report[edit]

Please by advised that I have opened a report at the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding the edits to Fulanito by you and other parties apparently related to the subject. The report can be found in the #Fulanito section of the noticeboard. —C.Fred (talk) 16:44, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Usage of non-free images[edit]

Please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:Non-free content. The usage of the file Fulanito, Reintroduccion.jpg may not be used outside of the article for the album without a rationale valid. Also the images needs to be scaled as it far exceeds the fair use criteria (see Infobox album. Erick (talk) 21:58, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The best way to write an article would be to look at other articles that Good or Featured Articles as example. Examples as far as Latin music goes would be Selena and Alejandro Sanz. For the image file, re-uploading the image from an online source such as Allmusic or Amazon.com is acceptable and the image sizes are usually good enough to satisfy the criteria. Now here's the thing, as Fulanito is still an active/alive, a non-free image cannot be used on the main page because it can be replaced with a free equivalent. By free equivalent, I mean uploading a photo of the group that you own or asking permission to the company you work with to release a photo of the group under the free domain. Free images are uploaded on WikiMedia Commons. Erick (talk) 19:14, 16 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
