Possible Adoption[edit]

Hello, im looking for someone to adopt me and I saw that you are also a member of the National Football League WikiProject. Ive been doing quite a bit of work on player profiles and i guess Im looking to see if what im doing is correct or not and where i can improve. Thanks Londonfella (talk) 12:59, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Londonfella[reply]

RfA[edit]

Thank you for your support on my recent RfA. Unfortunately it was closed early. I hope to see your support if I decide to try again. Ctjf83Talk 17:53, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have to admit Hammersoft didn't have the most positive or constructive comments on the RfA. Also, two, if I'm not talking to him when I have a question, I don't expect him to stick his nose in. Clearly others don't like my opinion on Bush. So, what made you support me? Ctjf83Talk 01:40, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I thank you...if I ever decide to RfA again, I'll let you know, and perhaps you can help me, if you want. Frankly, right now I'm a little sick of wikipedia, so who knows if I'll ever try again Ctjf83Talk 02:31, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tally[edit]

[1]. Thank you for fixing that, I must have edit conflicted with those last few opposes while I was closing. Cheers, Tiptoety talk 05:41, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of RFA[edit]

When a user's first three edits are to nominate himself/herself for adminship, I don't think any formal closure is required. I just took the RFA off the page and left Bloodlila a message explaining this. Most likely it was a malicious sock of some kind (what new user can manage to create and transclude an RFA without problems?) but, even if it wasn't, I think removal combined with an explanation on the user's talk page is a much less bite-y approach then waiting for five people to come in with their inevitable opposes. I'm not sure if the user list is current, but the project seems to be very inactive...just take a look at the number of GA's and FA's. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 17:44, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All of those needed to be accented, thanks for taking the time to accent them all.

A Huge Thank You[edit]

Regardless of what happens with the RFA once it gets opened, I owe you the biggest thank you I've ever made on the internet. It was very nice of you to take such a lot of time out of your life to notice me, let alone to guide, nominate, and praise me. There's not a lot of incentive to do this for someone you will never meet, nor even learn his name. So, all I can say is thank you, and I hope we'll still be meeting at least from time to time on the Wiki!--MrFishGo Fish 21:11, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm gonna try to accept the RFA tomorrow, because that will be mark two years on Wikipedia.

Re: PCP Active Member List[edit]

Hey- I don't know whether to classify myself as an "active user" or not. I would classify myself as more of an "on-and-off" user... does this count as inactive? I'm just kinda confused... any help would be appreciated! --Superpika66 (talk) 02:04, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How to nominate somebody for an RfA[edit]

Hey Useight, Your comment about not knowing how to introduce somebody for an RfA motivated me to write an essay that I've been thinking about for a while. I was hoping to have you take a look at it and let me know what you think User:Balloonman/How to nominate somebody for RfABalloonman (talk) 08:09, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you delete my sandbox? It said U1 user requested. I didn't request it that I know of. Is having a personal sandbox a violation of policy. Pls educate me on this? Thanks--Adamfinmo (talk) 01:32, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RFA Thanks[edit]

Thank you for your comments on my RFA. Even though it failed with 28 supports, 42 opposes, and 15 neutrals, I am grateful for the suggestions and advice I have received and I do hope to improve as a Wikipedian. If you ever need my help in any endeavor, feel free to drop me a line. --Sharkface217 20:12, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA...[edit]

Thank you...
...for your participation in my RFA, which closed with 85 supports, 2 neutrals and 1 oppose. I'm extremely grateful for all the the kind comments from so many brilliant Wikipedians I've come to respect and admire, as well as many others I've not yet had the pleasure of working with, and I'll do my best to put my shiny new mop and bucket to good use! Once again, thank you... the toaster's in the post ;)

Re: Reversion speed[edit]

You've done more than 10000 manual reversion??! Wow. That's pretty impressive. I've been using Huggle for most of my reversions. (The link tells more about it.) It is basically a stand-alone program that sends you diffs from the RC feed or the RC page and can revert and warn with one button press. Another scrip that is useful for vandalism reversion is Twinkle if you'd prefer that instead. So no, I'm sorry to inform you that I'm not Superman in disguise. :P Regards. Thingg 19:46, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My reply here
Trust me, Huggle isn't as complicated as it looks and it is very efficient at reverting vandalism. If you need help when you get it, just let me know and I'll be happy to help out. Also, if you want to, you could download Firefox to use Twinkle. (imo, Firefox is the best browser out there. tabs FTW!!! Internet Explorer 7 is also a very good browser if you'd rather get that....wait. why am I advising you on web browsers again?) Also, the reason you have to email someone to get huggle is because it is currently at version 0.7.4. Anyway, I hope you enjoy huggle and maybe Twinkle as well. Regards. Wikipedia Project Space Edits[edit]

Hey, I noticed some of your recent comments on Kumioko's RfA. You mentioned that his contributions to the Wikipedia namespace were lacking. I followed the link to your minimum standards for supporting an RfA, and saw that you require 500+ edits in this namespace. As a prospective future administrator, I was curious as to what exactly you would like to see in terms of specific edits in the project space, since I too am lacking edits there. (Any comments on my specific situation would be greatly appreciated as well!) Thanks. Paradoxsociety (talk) 23:34, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
