Disputed fair use rationale for Image:KCJAPAN.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:KCJAPAN.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:29, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Flagicon/Edit summary[edit]

Please read Wikipedia:Manual of Style (flags) before adding any more flags to articles like you did to Keshia Chanté. Specifically read WP:MOSFLAG#Not for use in locations of birth and death. Also please make sure you provide an edit summary so other editors know why you made the edit. Aspects (talk) 21:47, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removing a flagicon from a page is not vandalism like you claimed on Keshia Chanté, so be careful what you label as vandalism. Aspects (talk) 04:21, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Beengonefront.jpg}[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Beengonefront.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. BLP warning[edit]

Please stop adding unreferenced controversial biographical content to articles or any other Wikipedia page. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -Pilotguy contact tower 22:26, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you are, in fact, her manager or whomever you are claiming to be (and I have no way to verify who you are), I would suggest you contact the subject yourself as she continues to E-mail the foundation stating that certain parts of the article are false. The fact that you revert my edits as "vandalism" without contacting me first not only puts the foundation in danger but also puts yourself in a bad position. The article as it is now has been approved by her so please just go from there and be careful with what is in there. Not everything on the internet is true. -Pilotguy contact tower 18:03, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's already been done. I've been the main contributor to Chante's page and consistently there has been vandalism, people erasing factual information. Anytime I see someone erase information for no reason, I revert back to the original edit and explain why I did that, which in my opinion is vandalism. You dont just erase factual information because you feel like it. If the information comes across as biased, you enhance the article to your liking. But you keep factual information in the article. She performed "Dear Mama". If you dont like that I put "received an ovation" which is in every article written about her, then erase that part, but the facts remain the same, she DID perform Dear Mama. I feel its inappropriate to erase an entire paragraph just "because". To me, thats vandalism and I stated it as such.

I've blocked you for disrupting Wikipedia, and for inserting this false information without my permission. Calling it "vandalism" is also not helping you at all. It's also unnecessary to impersonate yourself. Expect to face longer blocks if you keep this up. -Pilotguy contact tower 20:27, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You feel that is fair and civil? I'm trying to explain it the best I can. If you want proof that I work for her, fine. I am 1 of 3 people who work for Chante when it comes to online content. I'll simply add her "early life" to her Official Website and have it used as "proof" or "reference" for my paragraph in Wikipedia. I take what I do very seriously, and I happen to care for facts regarding her. There are so many people on Wikipedia that truly vandalize & try to do harm to articles. Nothing I wrote was harmful to Chante, it was all facts I compiled from numerous references that I did provide. You, unfortunately are picking the wrong user, and are using your Administration power way too far. Many other valued editors on Wikipedia feel the same.- Tyty06 (02:44, 11 June 2008 (UTC))

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Keshia Chante[edit]

Actually, I didn't block anything. If I remember correctly, I just edited the opening paragraph, and made two more minor edits. I don't believe my edits are worthy of a discussion, because I didn't do much "damage". BTW, what do you think is wrong with the edits I made? Blackjays1 (talk) 05:38, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Keshia Chante[edit]

Regarding your attempts to undo vandal changes on Keshia Chante, what procedures were you trying to undo the changes? Were you in your watchlist, trying to use the undo links there? Or were you in the article's revision history which shows each edit made to the article? Note that your watchlist will only show the last edit made, which might be after the edit you want to undo.

Oh I just realized you asked a question here, The attempts to change vandal was during the "undo". After a while it locks up & says I can't. --Tyty06 (talk) 04:03, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, Wikipedia will often not be able to undo a change from several edits back, since the newer changes may interfere with the earlier edits. That is, Wikipedia software is sometimes unable to calculate what text has to be undone, so it will not complete the undo action requiring that you do a manual edit. The fact that the user is new shouldn't affect the ability to undo changes.

As for semi-protection, that means only registered users can edit (not "IP" users, who are identified only as a group of four numbers). You should read through the Wikipedia:Protection policy before considering a request for such protection, and perhaps read Wikipedia:Rough guide to semi-protection for more detail.

Users adding defamatory or vandalistic content, or removing proper content, should be given warnings on their talk pages. See WP:UTM for a list of warning templates which can be used, and how to use these. If the vandalism repeats itself, and successive levels of warnings are given, then the user can be blocked by request at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism (but please read the "three points" required to make such a request there).

Hope this information helps; please advise if you wish further detail on any of this. Dl2000 (talk) 00:44, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for just taking the time to explain this to me. It's so lengthy but you still did it! I will try everything you suggested and I will read everything thoroughly! Thank you again!!!!!!--Tyty06 (talk) 04:00, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Problems you observed in Ciara[edit]

Hi. I noticed your comment in Ciara: "There are a lot of inaccuracies in this article with the references." It would be very helpful if you could correct these inaccuracies, yourself, because problems are a lot of work to figure out for someone (such as me) who does not understand the subject well. Reference errors that I find easiest to correct are: 1) Sites that don't work, 2) Sites that don't even mention information in the sentence that is cited, 3) Sites that contradict what the Wiki article says. It is hard to check references, but it's also especially valuable, because sometimes bad references stay out there for months. Happy editing! Piano non troppo (talk) 07:05, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I could imagine. I will give the Ciara article a look and make all the necessary changes. I found that her article was a bit confusing. I began developing the Keshia Chante article and I work very hard in making sure it's fair, not-biased, proper references and no vandalism. I will take the time and do the same for your article as well! thank you for reaching out! --Tyty06 (talk) 04:02, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unclear/Misleading info[edit]

Please stop using unclear/misleading information on the Keshia Chante page. "Born" and "Origin" is unnecessary and misleading. This is your final warning ! —Preceding unsigned comment added by PhilthyBear (talkcontribs) 18:28, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Show me where Born & Origin is misleading. That information was always in the Keshia chante article, you, however, deleted it, which is deemed as blanking with no explanation. This has been apart of Chante's article for a year now, and her article has gone through the hands of some of the finest administrators and users, and nobody felt that section went against any wikipedia policies or deemed controversial. If you want to debate this issue, we can discuss in the Keshia Chante discussion section fairly & properly. Look at other wikipedia pages, such as Tupac Shakur. Tupac was born in NY, but his origin is LA. There are many people who have been born in a city, but in numerous articles said there upbringing was effected depending on where they grew up. Chante moved to Toronto at 13, she identifies in numerous articles with Toronto. Again, lets debate in her discussion page. --Tyty06 (talk) 19:45, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, you are relatively a new user, so you may have to learn more on wikipedia policy. We can change that information once you have found where I have violated any rules. Show me it & we can change it.--Tyty06 (talk) 19:46, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

99.248.67.120 is back at it[edit]

Note that User:99.248.67.120's block has ended and has resumed unexplained deletions of referenced content to Keshia Chanté. After a few reverts, the page seems quiet at the moment, but you may want to keep a closer watch on things than usual, and if necessary use WP:AIV. Dl2000 (talk) 04:48, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
