Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hey there, Trillio! I'm glad you decided to register a new account here on Wikipedia. We're always looking for new editors to help improve the project, because believe me, there's always something to be done! Wikipedia often seems very large to newcomers (it did to me, at least), so I've put together this little guide to help you get started. I hope this helps, and as always, happy editing! Hersfold (t/a/c) 02:17, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Some Quick Tips

  • Don't be afraid to make mistakes - Be Bold! That's how things get done, and there is always someone around to help you out if you need it.
  • Remember to sign your posts on talk pages, like this one. You can click this button on your editing toolbar, or just type in four tildes (~~~~) That way, people know who they're talking to and who to go to if they have a question for you.
  • Take some time to read a few of the help files, especially if you're new to Wikimarkup. Knowing the basics can save a lot of time and frustration down the road. I've provided some of these pages, as well as some common policies, at right.
  • If you ever have a question, there are plenty of places to ask! You can come talk to me, add the code {{helpme|your question}} to your talk page here, post a question on the talk page of the article you have a question about, or post something on the Help Desk or Reference Desk.
  • Check out the ways to get involved below - each of these suggestions are good ways for a new editor to get involved in the Wikipedia project.
  • Most importantly, get out there and edit! Thanks again for signing on!

Here's a bunch... Welcome to Wikipedia! Hersfold (t/a/c) 02:17, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome - just so you know, though, you didn't actually edit my talk page. You edited the talk page for the page where I keep my userboxes. My actual talk page is here. Again, welcome. Hersfold (t/a/c) 02:26, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of The Smithy & 4demo Divorce[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Smithy & 4demo Divorce requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Booglamay (talk) - 23:52, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page[edit]

I have deleted the admin and bureaucrat userboxes as you are neither of these. I have also removed a few other userboxes as your edit history does not indicate that you have contributed to Featured Articles, Featured Lists, Good Articles, or DYKs. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:34, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have not yet been awarded your own day either, I would suggest you remove that reference from your user page. Camaron | Chris (talk) 12:44, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Trillio[edit]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

  • I strongly recommend you to withdraw tour nomination for adminship, as it's highly premature. You have made very few edits, almost all of them to your user space. You should try again several months from now, after you have some experience with constructive editing of articles and the Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Regards, Mike Rosoft (talk) 22:07, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • The fact that you created this adminship request in the wrong place is a strong indication that you are not ready to be an admin. I have moved it to User:Trillio/sandbox. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 22:09, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      • I didn't create it there. On the RfA page, there's a box to enter your username. I did so, and it automatically created the page. Please check on this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trillio (talkcontribs) 22:12, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • You definitely are not ready! I assume you are talking abou Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/nominate which contains a submit button labelled "Nominate yourself". Above the button is an input box containing "Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/USERNAME". You are supposed to replace the word USERNAME with your user name - not the entire contents of the box! Don't try and blame your mistakes on the system! — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 22:24, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

requesting adminship[edit]

Please do not repost a request for adminship. It has not a hope of succeeding. You need at least several weeks of contributions to articles and processes, and a good working knowledge of how wikipedia works. You have obviously not got that. Please might assume that you are not serious, or being a little disruptive. Best to wait a bit, or ask someone to give you an idea of when you might be ready.--Scott MacDonald (talk) 22:54, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have closed your RfA per WP:NOTNOW. Let me know if you have any questions. Enigma message 23:15, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
