Welcome![edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! July 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not delete or flag potential "spoilers" in Wikipedia articles, as you did in the article Dark Water (Doctor Who). It is generally expected that the subjects of Wikipedia articles will be covered in detail, and giving a section a title such as "Plot" or "Ending" is considered sufficient warning to the reader that the text will contain revelations about the narrative. Deleting such information makes the article less useful for a reader who is specifically trying to find out more about the subject. For more information, see Wikipedia's guidelines on spoilers. Thank you. -- AlexTW 08:24, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- AlexTW 09:37, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, as you did at User talk:AlexTheWhovian, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Katietalk 10:09, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Once you've told by an editor to stop posting on their own talk page, you need to abide by this per Wikipedia's policies. -- AlexTW 10:38, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Jusdafax. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Death in Heaven— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Death in Heaven. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Jusdafax 05:53, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop attacking other contributors, as you did with this edit to Death in Heaven. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Jusdafax 06:07, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Jusdafax: Thanks for your advice, but I'm going to keep doing it.

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Widr (talk) 06:32, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Widr: You made me sad. I'm actually crying right now.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I am truly very sorry for the behavior that has been coming from my account. Allow me to explain what has happened. This account was, in the past, shared between myself and a friend of mine (my real first name is Tom, his real last name is Jasendro, hence the username). About two weeks ago we had a falling out and he changed the password of the account without telling me and has been making these reckless edits and attacks to spite me. We have since come to an understanding and he agreed to give me the password back. Upon reading through all the stuff he did, I am absolutely shocked. I completely understand it is not in the spirit of Wikipedia and I assure you that I do not support such behavior. The account is now solely administered by me and I would really like to get back to editing Wikipedia constructively. Once again, I am truly very sorry for what has happened. TomJasendro (talk) 03:23, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Once an account has been compromised, it can not be unblocked. Shared accounts are not allowed, and we now have no way of knowing if this is the good Tom or the bad Jasendro appealing to us. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 03:34, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@Boing! said Zebedee: I suspected that this may be the case. It's a shame, but I understand what you're saying. Thank you anyway for considering my request.TomJasendro (talk) 03:56, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Boing! said Zebedee: Just one more question, I read the "Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks" page and read the advice which relates to my situation (under the subsection Special situations --> Comprised accounts). Would you recommend that I do this to rectify my situation? Also is it just my account or my IP address that has been blocked?TomJasendro (talk) 06:02, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Following that Guide to appealing blocks section seems appropriate, so I've lifted the IP autoblock - but please be sure to follow the guidance: "With your first edits, clearly identify the new account as a successor account of the blocked account, for example by adding the code {{User Previous Acct|1=Old Username}} to the user page of the new account (replace "Old Username" with the username of the blocked account). If you do not do this, your new account may be blocked as an abuse of multiple accounts." Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:40, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@AlexTheWhovian: Hi Alex, firstly I would really like to apologize for everything that's happened in the past couple of days. If you read what's on my talk page now, it will explain everything. I am truly sorry that you came in the crossfire of a fight between me and my friend. It has nothing to do with you, he just decided to mess with a random user, and unfortunately he chose you. Nothing he did represents my true feelings towards you or anyone at Wikipedia. As a keen Doctor Who fan, I find the coverage the show gets on Wikipedia is fantastic and a truly great resource, and you're substantial efforts towards that are appreciated by all of us. I implore you to keep up the good work and not be disheartened by the negative stuff that's been coming out of my account. Once again, I'm very sorry about what's been happening.TomJasendro (talk) 03:56, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
