Yep that would have been me on Panoramio. As to adding stuff and the correct way don't worry too much as there are plenty of people willing to help. As far as I understand it you retain the copyright as long as you use a Creative Commons, Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. You give anybody the right to use the file as they wish, including making money, but it's still yours and they should credit you. Sometimes the person using it will let you know and ask how you want it credited, you Wikipedia name or your real name, but not always. Still in Cambridge Bay. Cheers. Qikiqtarjuaq[edit]

It can be hard to figure out where to put pictures in articles that are not very big. All I did though was add a link and a caption. I also added the terminal to Qikiqtarjuaq Airport.

I also added categories to the images on Commons. Just curious but where is File:Local Flowers.jpg and File:King George Mountain.jpg? I wasn't sure if they were Arctic Bay or Qikiqtarjuaq. I tried the Atlas of Canada for the mountain but didn't find anything.

You're lucky that you can fly yourself around as it must save time and money. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 05:26, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Both pics are in arctic bay. I'm surprised youndidn't find anything on King George man as it is very well known. I forgot to mention that I was in ycb last summer either in July or August. I am headed up again but will be doing west of ycb although we will likely stop for fuel at your place. That is only if my flying budget doesn't get trashed with all these federal cuts happening. We do save a tremendous amount of time and money doing our own thing. Have a good day! TimTimkal (talk) 19:42, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well if you were in the CARS office then I might have met you. Don't know what you are flying but if you need avgas don't forget the pump and make sure to arrange it well in advance. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 05:10, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

DEW Line[edit]

Huge apologies. This reply is long overdue. Have had a myriad of other tasks and priorities than our base's Wiki page -- the nature of the military beast, stuff is always coming up that needs attending to. Recently resumed editing our Wiki page, and picked up on your request.

As you are probably already aware by now there is a Wikipedia DEW Line page. This page would be ideal for your unique contributions since you have first-hand experiences and perspective, versus someone writing on the page who never served there.

(Sadly, while I got out to Holberg, BC, postings to the DEW Line ended before I could get up there.)

Our base museum would be interested in hearing from you. The Canadian Forces Museum of Aerospace Defence covers the history of Canada and Canadians in air and aerospace defence from World War One into the 21st Century; naturally a huge part of this involves the DEW Line and the Cold War. Contact Bethany.Aitchison@forces.gc.ca

Again, my sincerest apologies. I can also be reached at Raymond.Newman@forces.gc.ca. I'm an old Cold War 'dog', and am the Department of National Defence's Subject Matter Expert for Canadian Forces Base North Bay, 22 Wing, NORAD in Canada and all things related to these entities. By the way, did you ever visit our Underground Complex?22WHERO (talk) 12:50, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unidentifed aircraft[edit]

Any guesses as to what this might be? CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 01:37, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. It was good to meet. Just upload the pictures when you have the time. Take care. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 14:14, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hope Bay Gold Mine[edit]

Thanks for the pictures. I moved one into the box and the others into a gallery. Also added a couple to Hope Bay greenstone belt. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 07:15, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just upload whichever pictures you want. Don't worry about the categories and stuff that can be added later. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 13:47, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Arctic Bay Airport[edit]

I don't think there is anything about the station or the lowlands but it seems to be mentioned three times. So it would be a good article to have. As should the picture and proper explanation for the airport. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 14:59, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merry Christmas[edit]

Pictures[edit]

Thanks for adding the images. They looked fine the way they were. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 23:22, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I've now done Grise Fiord and airport, Kugluktuk and airport, Prince Leopold Island, Sachs Harbour and airport. I recently finished most of the photoshopping from last summer and what a pile of work! I hope I get done before next summer... Minus 26 here tonight so you're not missing anything weather wise. Cheers Tim

Just spent a week in Yellowknife where it was between -10 and -15 most days. Now back home to -40. I've got a few pictures to add. Really annoyed though [:File:Canadian C-17 Globemaster III.jpg this] was in Yellowknife and I was too busy getting the rental to get a picture. Then we went to drop some muskox meat with Mikey McBryan of Buffalo Air and forgot the camera. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 02:54, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've had that happen so many times! I have missed such good shots because the old camera was somewhere else! Glad you got out but you should have stopped in say Florida.... Just added to Resolute and airport. I am having such a time trying to place the photo's. I go to edit to see what others have done and I think I'm wiki-illiterate....... If you want I took a bunch of the c-17 in Res so I could email them if you like? Let me know.. Have a good evening. Cheers. Tim

It's OK. It was more a do we need one for Wikipedia. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 19:23, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kimmirut Airport[edit]

I moved the ones on the left up a bit and moved one of the right hand side ones to the left.

Summer was quiet. Went to Edmonton for a few days after my daughter bought tickets for the KISS concert. I got sent on medical as well, twice, for my eye. First was on the Lear 35 jet as a proper MEDIVAC. Not bad $125 for a flight that normally costs almost a $1000. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 03:18, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mary River[edit]

I saw you added some images to Mary River (Nunavut) so I moved them into a gallery. I also added the airport one to Mary River Aerodrome and some of them to Baffinland Iron Mine. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 02:47, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
