List of years in British radio

I have also created new pages for 1957, 1958 and 1959 in British radio on the back of us expanding the List of years in British radio article as I felt there was just about sufficient material to justify an article for those three years, especially for 1957. Do you think we should create individual year articles for 1956 and earlier? Rillington (talk) 14:24, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Possibly, I don't know how much information is available for those years, but there's probably a lot about various radio series that were on, people born in those years, etc. Looking at what we have in the later articles, my guess would be the post-war years would probably be easier. New Timelines

I have created five new timelines. They are related to UK sports broadcasters and I am in the process of creating a timeline for sport on other channels although I can't think of a relevant title. If you can think of one do let me know. I also plan to create a timeline for football on UK television given that there are articles on this on Wikipedia. Great work on these. How about something like "Timeline of sport on British television", or "Timeline of sport on non-flagship British television channels". This is Paul (talk) 19:24, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. Finding a title is not proving to be easy. "Timeline of sport on British television" as a title would give the impression that the timeline covered sport on all channels in the UK. That's not an article I am planning to create as it would have to cover everything, and "Timeline of sport on non-flagship British television channels" could be seen as covering Sky Sports and BT Sport in addition to the other sports channels. Therefore you can see why I am struggling to come up with a title - and the article is now almost ready to be created. Rillington (talk) 13:58, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

What a year to be alive. As usual (but perhaps even moreso since there have been unexpected quarantines), there has been a lot of activity on player, team, league and tournament-related Wikipedia articles with all of the worldwide coverage of women's football / soccer. Great work!

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. Timeline of BBC One

A user using only an IP address continually reverts an edit I have made on the Timeline of BBC One page. I did ask for a dispute resolution but they said it was "premature" and that the dispute should be discussed on the talk page.

This user has now left a threatening post on my Talk Page, accusing me on disruptive editing, saying that "If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Timeline of BBC One, you may be blocked from editing." Given that dispute resolution will not get involved at this stage, I'd be grateful for an independent view on this. Any help would be appreciated. Rillington (talk) 15:39, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

The changes you're making seem ok to me. It kind of makes sense. My involvement in the discussion would possibly mean you could ask for a dispute resolution. Alternatively you could go to WP:3O and get a third opinion. This is Paul (talk) 00:12, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your comment and if you could comment on the Timeline of BBC One talkpage then that would be really helpful.
I did ask for a dispute resolution but this was denied and was told to start a talkpage discussion but I somehow don't think that whoever is behind the IP address is going to engage in discussion as the user merely reverts any replies I have made, literally seconds after I respond. There is a clip of the final closedown on YouTube and if a YouTube clip is seen as a reliable source as defined by Wikipedia then I should be ok. Rillington (talk)
