Speedy deletion of "Desk Ball"[edit]

Desk Ball, a page you created, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is very short and provides little or no context.

You are welcome to contribute content that complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Donner60 (talk) 03:26, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There is no reason to delete this page. This is a real item that is to be filed with the patent office and trademarked. I will be fighting this every step of the way as this does not fit the criteria for deletion.

I need to see the text in any case because an edit was done to this and I don't know what was changed.

You did get notification, otherwise, you would not have put a message on my talk page.
I am not an administrator. I can only recommend pages for deletion. Evidently you did not keep a copy of what you wrote or cannot recreate it but I can not restore the page. Only an administrator can delete the page or restore the text (probably to a user sub-page of yours for further work). You say you don't know what was changed but I am not sure what that means since the page was deleted, not changed.
Your article had no references to outside sources. Therefore, it appeared totally made up, possibly bogus. This also does not comply with the need for Wikipedia:Verifiability.
Your note shows this is proposed, so it is nothing in existence and thus is not likely to be notable. See Wikipedia:Notability. Also, apparently not much progress has been made since the article "Desk Ball" was deleted in 2009.
Finally, see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, especially Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a publisher of original thought. Donner60 (talk) 02:04, 13 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

These answers really don't mean anything, since you aren't really paying attention to my questions. First, the page was deleted with no advance warning. Second, while I do have a copy of the page, I do not have a record of the changes that user "Adam9007" made prior to deletion. It is possible that the changes that he made are where the problem lies, but I can't address it, since I don't know what the changes were; you deleted the page. Third, I don't know what sources are "needed", but I have sources. I can't once again explain what's there as it's gone. Fourth, I have no knowledge of the prior entry or what it was. I did not do that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.255.244.179 (talk) 03:00, 13 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I seriously suggest you read the linked items, especially Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a publisher of original thought. As I wrote, I cannot grant your request in any event. User:Slim Virgin was the administrator who deleted the page. I suggest that if you want to pursue this, you make your request to her. Reversing the deletion is up to her.
