Why am I blocked?

Your account has been blocked indefinitely because its username is a blatant violation of our username policy – it is obviously profane; threatens, attacks or impersonates another person; or suggests that your intention is not to contribute to the encyclopedia (see our blocking and username policies for more information).

We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames, and trolling or other disruptive behavior is not tolerated. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

We do know what wanking means. NawlinWiki (talk) 01:51, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wan means pale and king is obvious, two legitimate non offensive english words.

My username is not offensive as explained above The wan king (talk) 01:59, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Sadly not many people are likely to see it that way, you will not be unblocked unless you change your name Jac16888 Talk 02:13, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I can't change my name as I'm blocked, catch 22. The wan king (talk) 02:17, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You can use this template: {{unblock-un | user=new username | reason=your reason here}} to request a new name from here, although it would help if you were to give some sort of indication of the types of edit you're hoping to make--Jac16888 Talk 02:27, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Good lord no wonder Wikipedia is having trouble getting new participation if this is the way it treats people. The wan king (talk) 02:29, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We want people who are here to be productive and actually help, when you sign up with a username that 99% of people will read as "wanking", it's understandable that we would be sceptical about your motives--Jac16888 Talk 02:32, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm hardly responsible if 99% of people on Wikipedia have their minds in the gutter. The wan king (talk) 02:34, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Civility Barnstar
I deserve this for remaining civil despite the idiocy of this website. The wan king (talk) 02:51, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Surreal Barnstar
This certainly is a surreal website, very Kafkaesque The wan king (talk) 02:54, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
