Hello, Tessdav. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, A Thousand Lives: The Untold Story of Jonestown, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 23:27, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Tessdav,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether A Thousand Lives: The Untold Story of Jonestown should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/A Thousand Lives: The Untold Story of Jonestown .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 06:21, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A Thousand Lives[edit]

This article WILL pass AFD, as the book is unquestionably notable. not adding references made it look sloppily researched, but its not the job of other editors to propose delete of articles without checking themselves if the article's subject is notable. this was an easy one to check, NYT and LAT gave it major reviews. subject, as you well know, is highly notable, and author has other nontrivial works in print. please keep on improving it. Subject is of import to me, and i have the image to prove it: File:Peoplestemplememorialgravesite.jpg taken near a place i go to frequently.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 05:47, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Mercurywoodrose. We must live in the same neighborhood. (I'm in Berkeley). I do plan to add original source material and links to the page. Do I need to delete the "deletion warning" at the top of the page so it doesn't get deleted from Wikipedia?
