I've again reviewed the sources for these statements and they appear to be valid. Please clarify why you consider them to be "very weak." Do you have any evidence suggesting that the MEMRI translation is inaccurate or that the Turkish article is incorrect? (If you do please post it).

With regard to your claim that "there is no need to get into political views on people profiles if they are not politicians," I do not recall this being a rule in Wikipedia. Whether or not a person is a politician is irrelevant - what matters is whether statements attributed to a person are a) accurate, b) properly sourced, and c) notable.

Again, if you have specific evidence that the statements attributed to Mr. Abu Ghazaleh in the article are inaccurate, please present it - I certainly do not want to post any information that is libelous, copyrighted, improperly sourced, or inaccurate. However, statements such as these, when made by anyone (politician or not) are not offlimits for Wikipedia.(Hyperionsteel (talk) 06:41, 26 November 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Amman Workshop 11-12 April 2012[edit]

This research project (which I am part of) is looking for participants for a workshop in Amman in April. The workshop is about representation of and by the Middle East and North Africa, in various language Wikipedias, and looking at barriers to contribution and ways to overcome them

In particular we are interested in those who edit from or about the Middle East, either extensively, or who have been discouraged from editing more due to on-wiki issues.

Hi, I'm writing because you are listed in Category:Translators ar-en. It was recently pointed out at Talk:Innocence of Muslims#ARABIC Wikipedia version that the English Wikipedia article on the deliberately inflammatory film trailer Innocence of Muslims contains very much more detailed information about the deliberate deceit on the part of the filmmakers to try to obscure their identity and the nature of the trailers which has not yet been added to the Arabic version at ar:براءة_المسلمين which is getting about 8,000 page views per day presently. Would you please consider adding some of the details which might help Arabic readers understand some of the missing details of the trailers? Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Hello TAGITI! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Hello TAGITI. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements.
