Hi, Svetly, I deleted your recent article because it did not provide independent verifiable sources that it meets the notability guidelines. There were no wikilinks, which made me wonder if it was copied from a non-public domain website or other source. I didn't check because it was also written like an advertisement, eg direct links to the websites instead of being in a separate external links section, and lots of spammy unsourced claims. examples include (just from first paragraph) lovers of good film-making...featured in Variety’s Top 50 of cinema festivals (no reference for this)... the largest...represents Bulgaria proudly...declares itself as one of the important festivals in South Eastern Europ...went successfully through 14 previous editions...its own serious claims for the most demanding audience. I'll temporarily recreate here so you can work on it Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:26, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Have a look at Ashton Court Festival to give you some ideas on structure. if you click on the "My Preferences" option that should be somewhere at the top of every page, and go to the "Gadgets" tab, that gives you a range of options. I find WikiEd useful. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:09, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've had a run through, there shouldn't be any direct links to websites in the text. Either link to wikipedia articles if they exist, leave as red links, or unlink and put the url link in External links. There was an edit conflict, so I might inadvertently have reverted your most recent edits, sorry Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:29, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
link to Bulgarian article by putting bg:Международен София Филм Фест on bottom of page, and on that page put en:English page name to link back to the English version. You can recreate the page in article space whenever you wish, but best to wait till you are finished, otherwise it might be deleted again. Adding a stub tag won't protect it if it still considered to be promotional. There is no limit of time to finish working on an article. In a sense, articles are never finished because other editors can add content Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:49, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's looking better, I've fixed the bg link and removed a new url from the text. You still have problems with the first paragraph, some of the spammy language I identified at the top of this page is still there, and makes it likely that the article will be deleted again unless it's rewritten in a more encyclopaedic manner. Orphaned non-free media (File:SIFF-logo.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:SIFF-logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 02:10, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:SIFF-logo1.png[edit]

I have tagged File:SIFF-logo1.png as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. Otherwise, it will be deleted in seven days. Melesse (talk) 02:11, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free files in your user space[edit]

Hey there Svetly, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:Svetly/sandbox. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.

Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:01, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The images are copyright, and the only way that they can be used on any wikipedia is if they are used under a claim of fair use. Although as far as I remember they had fair use justification, they can only be used actually in the article to which they refer. You can add them again when you recreate the article, but not while it's here. You can use them in the equivalent Bulgarian article, but I think it will be difficult to justify fair use for any other page. The images should be uploaded to the English and Bulgarian Wikipedias, not to Commons, since they are not free images. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:45, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
File:CITY_radio_&_TV_Bulgaria_logo.JPG here's an example of a fair use on more than one article Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:52, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
To recreate, just go into edit mode in your sandbox article, copy everything, click on Sofia International Film Festival to open the blank page, paste, and save. The article title isn't protected by me or anyone else, so there shouldn't be a problem. What User:Melesse is saying is basically what I've said, fair use can only be claimed when the article is in place. I can't understand why you can't communicate with her, just click on her "talk" link like you do with mine, or click here Jimfbleak - talk to me? 17:41, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Jimfbleak. Just a note for your information: two years ago Bulgarian Wikipedia voted to cease using fairuse images and having local uploads. I'll tryo to explain the situation to the user on his BG WP talk page. Spiritia 21:06, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Sofia International Film Festival, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://experement.org/page.php?id=1757.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
