Comments on article possibilities

Hi Sue, I took a look at your ideas on your user page. My gut response would be that the affirmative action article would probably be best because it's the most broad and probably the easiest to get information on from secondary sources. You could consider doing the Children of Africa article, but you need to steer clear of primary sources and if the organization isn't that big (or notable), it will be difficult to do that. The affirmative action article would be a good bet because you could 1) write an article on Affirmative action in South Africa, then 2) summarize that article in Affirmative action#South Africa. Hello, thank you very much for your feedback! Unfortunately the South African topics did not get approved, so I had to go back to the drawing board. I have added two more topics that interest me: Urban Politics in the US and Community Journalism. Let me know your thoughts on both of those articles. Hi Nasro. Urban politics would work. Brittany may be using it also. If you want to do it, check with her. You can both work on the article if you choose separate areas to expand and document. Community journalism is also a good choice. I think there's more information available about the topic than is included in the article, so you would have something to add. The urban politics article may be easier to do, however, since it needs reworking.Marlenefine (talk) 18:46, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Urban politics in the United States and Community journalism are both great options. CJ has no good use of sources, so if you want to make the biggest impact, that might be the place to start. Otherwise, sprucing up and expanding UP could be good too since it has a good start with a reliable source. upstateNYer 23:33, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi Sue. Wondering if you've been playing around in the project at all. Haven't seen edits outside your userspace. You might want to find an article that you're interested in and start reading it. You're bound to find something to fix or update - or reference! Try finding a subject you have references to and add in a citation template with a source to lead the reader in the right direction. Hey, just wanted to give you an update. I found resources for the article on Community Journalism, however I checked the history of it and a girl from JMU has already made a lot of progress on it. I need to find an article that someone else isn't working on. I'm interested in media, politics, sports, and other cultures. I'll let you know when I find one, and if you come across one, please let me know! Thanks!

Looks like a good list of sources--several academic articles--good. I've put the title of your article on our class page. You need to figure out where you plan to add to material to the article.
