Conflict of interest[edit]

Hi Stephen, you mentioned that you are the president of the SPSL, a indicated on their homepage. You may be interested in WP:COI, our page on "conflict of interest" editing, i.e. editing of articles on subjects you are connected to. While the page is rather negatively written and your edits aren't problematic, it may be a good idea to take some of the advices given there to heart, like disclosing the connection at your user page. For editors with a conflict of interest, it is essential that they follow our neutral point of view policy, which means that e.g. potentially negative info about their subjects must be given a place in the articles as well (although removing unsourced or badly sourced negative statements is allowed), or that challenges towards the notability of some subjects may be expected.

Again, I haven't noticed anything problematic about your edits, and you are encouraged to continue contributing to Wikipedia, but it's sometimes easier to indicate certain pitfalls upfront. Fram (talk) 13:19, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Los Lobos FC has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No references to establish the claims, if there are claims, that this team is more notable than any other soccer team.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 19:52, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good[edit]

I'll wait on that press release. Then if there is enough information to work with, I'll get around to making a wiki article for each of them. I'll also change the level of the league to 4. Treyvo (talk) 17:13, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

PS. Brendan knows that I am making wiki articles. We've met in person at some of the friendlies before the season started after I posted a link to the Pirate SC wiki when it was finished.

Rio Grande Valley Bravos...[edit]

...leaving PDL entirely? Treyvo (talk) 01:21, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, along with a number of others. We will be able to justify L4, where we intended to be, this year, and maybe work towards D3 in the near future. ~~StephenHeisler1966~~

/* SPSL */[edit]

That must be it. By the way, that doesn't do anything for establishing notability, as an organization or in terms of sports achievement. WP:CORPDEPTH, WP:NFOOTYDemitrius39 (talk) 07:22, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
