Image copyright problem with Image:WSUV.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:WSUV.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:37, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:WSUVFountain.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:WSUVFountain.jpeg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. regarding your contributions to WSU Vancouver[edit]

When contributing to the encyclopedia, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Articles need to follow the Manual of Style in formatting and content.
  • Articles need to verified with citations to reliable sources, otherwise content is subject to deletion.
  • Most importantly, articles need to be written in a neutral tone in the third person, and content that is promotional in style is completely unacceptable.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. VanTucky 23:57, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, please be aware that Wikipedia is not the place to promote WSU Vancouver with press release style content. Please add content describing the university that is written in a neutral, third party tone. Further addition of advert-like content may result in being prevented from editing. That's okay, edits happen fast sometimes. It can be hard to keep track of what's going on. As for the talk page, you did it right, except new conversations should go at the bottom of the page. If you need anymore help, just ask. I'll be poking around the WSUV article, so see you around I'm sure. VanTucky 00:28, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

External links[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Washington State University, Vancouver do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: 'youtube\.com' (link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csFILN9UIuI) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image or a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! XLinkBot (talk) 00:11, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
