Hi SteffenPoulsen. You seem intent on adding the TWiki Codev web to this article, and I thought I'd try to explain why it keeps getting removed. The reason is basically that it isn't notable enough to be in a list of notable wikis. We can't include every wiki in the world, so our guideline is that it must be notable enough to have its own Wikipedia article. TWiki, as wiki software, is definitely notable, and belongs in the List of wiki software article, but it's development wiki is not so much, or not obviously, anyway. So TWiki itself is being removed from the list because it's not a wiki in itself, and the dev wiki is removed because (a) it's not independently notable, and (b) it's an external link. We periodically prune external links and redlinks (links to articles that don't exist) to keep things manageable and notable, and to deter spammers. I think everywhere else you've added information about TWiki-related things is perfectly appropriate--it's just this one place there's an issue. I hope this is helpful information. Let me know if I can explain more, or better yet, leave a note on the article's talk page so more people can comment.

On a side note, in one of your edits you changed Ekşi Sözlük to Eks,i Sözlük, which broke the link. Is there some reason you did that? I restored it--I hope it's OK as is.

Thanks for commenting, Rodii!

I found a doubled link to the "Main" web originally, so that was the one I was trying to improve by pointing it to the more appropriate Codev web. The Codev web is 60.000+ articles if I remember correctly, and is an interesting example on how to run a software project, but I agree, there are other places where the exponation is better done.

I am sorry about the Ekşi Sözlük incidence, I didn't notice that change. I think a cut & paste back and forward to my editor changed that for me. I will keep an eye out for this in the future.

- Just getting started on Wikipedia, need to learn all the buttons.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, very much appreciated :-)

Sure! If you have any quesions, let me know. I know it can be frustrating to try to contribute and be thwarted over and over. Usually there's a good reason, but it's not always obvious and it can feel like you're being persecuted. So... communication is good. Thanks for responding rationally! :) · rodii · 19:34, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
