Could quite possibly be correct, but I've got another answer here. The first on to get the answer I've got gets the point. Spawn Man 00:21, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

I thought cops weren't allowed to take drugs? What would your boy friend say if he knew you were on here completely blotto? Honestly though, that screen shot does look very wierd... Have no idea why it's doing that though... *Whistles*.... Spawn Man 01:16, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
Well, you really don't expect my bf to know everything about me, don't you, Steve? :p I love the idea of having new "massages" tho... we should create the Wikimassage, that would beat every barnstar! Phædriel tell me - 01:20, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
I thought you were joking when you said you ate too many mushrooms? I'm confused... Spawn Man 01:25, 26 January 2006 (UTC). BTW, Why did you use "Steve"?
Ehem?! (kinda confused at the question) Of course I was joking - In fact, I "hate" mushrooms :( And.. maybe because it is your name? (awww geez, I missed the "n" for Steven!) Sorry if that was unappropriate, hun, I promise I won't do it again... Phædriel tell me - 01:34, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, I'm too gullable for my own good.... No, I was just wondering why you suddenly called me Steve from Spawn man... Anyway..... I'll just go finish editing a meteorite before I make any more presumtions & get yelled at...... Spawn Man 01:39, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

Don't you feel sometimes your enacting the Abbot and Costello "Who? The guy who plays on first base!" conversation? Oh well, Spawn babe (I know you like that one better!), I'll get back to RC patrol myself, and edit that meteorite before it hits the Earth ;) Kisses! You know, you're the first person at WP to ask me where it comes from? I knew it would happen sooner or later! No, in fact it was the name of a side character from the game Dungeon Siege which I just happened to like a lot. Since the first names I attempted to register were already taken (Sharon and SharonK), I just recalled that one and used it instead. Of course, I had no idea I would remain here for good after that, I just wanted to make a few edits... silly me! I'm doomed now... doomed, I tell you! Aaah! Hoba meteorite

Regarding your recently created page: Hoba meteorite, I am unsure of whether you completely copied the article word for word from the book or not. I do appreciate you sourcing, which helps, but I don't believe Wikipedia should be a respository of other books. Perhaps if you could summarize and not copy straight from the book (assuming you did), that would be great. Otherwise, I think it falls under the category of a copyright violation, which isn't fun at all... Respond at my talk page if you have any concerns! Thanks! Kareeser|Talk! 01:20, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

You've got to be kidding right? Assuming you didn't just fall off the back of a turnip truck, I would say that you either weren't knowing of myself or that your are completely insane! Just because I write a lengthy article in a formal tone doesn't mean that I've copied it from a book! Can someone please back me up here? Everyone knows that we're allowed to get information from other encyclopedias! If we aren't allowed to get it from printed sources, where are we going to get it from? Make it up?!? From the internet?! Listen here you, & listen good. not trying to sound mean, but I've been around on here a lot longer than you, & I have more edits & probably more respect than you, so I would feel that I've got the hang of this place. Come back & whine to me when you get over a 700 edits will ya? I don't need a perfectly good article ruined because a little know it all says it sounds like it came straight from a book! And so you know, I didn't just copy it from a book. Only vandals, dumb asses & turnips do that. Do I look like a turnip to you? A vandal? A dum ass? Didn't think so.... Please don't pester me again with stupid assumptions & accusations! Spawn Man 01:35, 27 January 2006 (UTC). BTW, I'm actually nice if you don't accuse me of copy vio when I didn't.
For one, if you've been here as long as you claim to be, you would have more sense than to yell, scream, and shout as you have done so. Secondly, I was not accusing you. I was merely pointing out an argument and was stating my opinion. Yes, I assumed that you may have copied the article from the book. The fact remains that I don't have the book, so I cannot verify your information. Simply because I look after the welfare of Wikipedia doesn't mean I have to turn a blind eye to every person to creates articles. If you can prove to me that this information was of your own product (and using the source as just a source), then I will drop the issue, but as of now, your response has not done much to convince me that you are telling the truth. Perhaps you should take some lessons in netiquette, as you lack some fundamentals. I am aware of your high-standing in wikipedia. I looked through your webpage and I was (and still am) proud of your achievements. Congratulations to you, but I still have my opinions. Kareeser|Talk! 01:40, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

I'm glad that my resume has impressed you enough to leave me alone... Oh wait, you're still here.... Maybe I'm not the one that needs coaching in netiquette. If I went to someone's talk page, not just someone,a respected editor, accused them of copy vio & offered no way other than impossiblity to solve it, then I would expect to get an angry response! How bout this, since the only way you're going to belive me that I didn't copy from a book, how bout I send you the book? Here, you send me the money for postage & packaging at this adress:

124 I don't care road,
I really don't care-ville,
I have to copy from a book cause I don't have a brain, NOT! land,

It may take the book a while to reach you on Uranus..... Now if you excuse me, I'll waste my time not speaking to you! Spawn Man 01:52, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Pardon me for intruding...
Spawn Man: Please remember to always be polite :-)
Kareeser: assume good faith, please. Do you have any evidence that the article has been copied from somewhere? —Kirill Lokshin 01:44, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
No, you are right, I do not have any evidence at all that the article was copied. The only reason that the article flagged my attention in the first place was because of his edit summary, which contained a rather high amount of exclamation marks. It is fully likely that had those exclamation marks not been there, I would've simply skipped the article and gone back to Special:Newpages. Spawn man, I apologize for accusing you of a copyright violation. I acted rashly, and I take it back now. Kareeser|Talk! 01:52, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
I accept your apology. If you took a moment to know me, you would know that I'm insane & like to use exclamation marks a lot. Especially when I'm happy with my articles or if I'm angry..... Really angry..... Spawn Man 01:54, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Everyone's a comedian... Spawn Man 02:00, 27 January 2006 (UTC). P.S. I actaully like it when people come to me with problems on here. It really gives me room to unleash my fury & say meany stuff like "Listen you little toad stool" (still one of my favourites by far....) & recently "It may take the book a while to reach you on Uranus..... " (another good multi insult...).

Ugh, not this again... Keep in mind that I wasn't being immature in my original post towards you. Accusatory, yes, but not immature. Kareeser|Talk! 03:42, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Ugh yourself you gustful little accuser. I was barely being immature. Synacal, yes, but not immature. Spawn Man 03:44, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Perhaps it's a product of my time on the internet, but I happen to associate behaviour such as excessive exclamation marks and rash commentary as "immature". It may have slipped out, but I don't mean to call you immature. Let me clarify:
When I said "immature", I was referring to the exclamation marks in the edit summary, not you, personally. You've already proven to me with your large board of awards that you're a capable and respected Wikipedian. Hence the "brilliant prose" section of the same reply. OK, I thought I was your friend, so I just "happen" to care about you. If I have offended you in any way that I'm not aware of, all I can say - is I'm sorry. Yet, if you will keep this silence, I'll just have to say goodbye to you myself. You'll always be welcome at my Talk Page, should you ever care to explain this mysterious new attitude. First thing is first, I don't want to make this a long argument. I just want to explain myslef. What happened was I initially thought that footnotes were also acceptable. Then it was either in the peer review or the FAC, Kafziel changed it back to harvard because other members of Wikipedia thought that that would have been a better choice. I let them do this. Then you wanted them to have footnotes and I defend their choice. Oh and I don't know if your doing book reviews, but I'm going to be reading to books in the near future. Pale Fire and The Spy Who Came in from the Cold. We could see if we both thought the same thing about them. RENTAFOR LET? 02:40, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Atmosfear

The name you have under the photo in "Atmosfear" is incorrect. the dvd is the first, not the second.

Long-winded response

This is also posted as a response to you on my talk page.

A) I will not stop italicizing genus or species names. Genus and species names are ALWAYS italicized, while the higher-level taxa are not. Read any scientific paper. Read any other encyclopedia. Read any textbook. Ask anybody who uses them on a regular basis (like myself). Italicizing genus-species is not for convenience, it is not a formatting choice, it is mandatory. Not just the first time. Every time. Period. In fact, as a scientist, seeing a generic name repeatedly un-italicized would nearly cause me to dismiss whatever I was reading. NOT italicizing them is basically intentionally introducing inaccurate information.
Point me to somewhere in Wikipedia where it says genus and species should only be italicized once, so that I can raise hell until the policy is changed. But I suspect there is no policy, just your personal (incorrect) preference.
B) Why does Wikipedia have a template for citations if not to use it? I prefer the template because it easier to just fill in the blanks rather than formatting a whole entry each time. And it comes out looking exactly the same. But if you choose not to, that is your choice, as long as the information is correct and correctly formatted. For instance, this:
  • Upchurch, P., Barrett, P.M. and Dodson, P., (2004). The Dinosauria. University of California Press. 2nd Edition:259-322.
...is unacceptable and just WRONG for many reasons. Upchurch et al. did not WRITE The Dinosauria (which is the title of a book and should be italicized, period). They wrote a chapter in an edited volume. The complete volume was edited by Weishampel, Dodson, and Osmolska. Anybody looking for this book would not be able to find it under the authors you provided. The citation was correct as I wrote it, and it was in accepted style. You made it INCORRECT and in unacceptable style. Please fact-check before making changes. This should be common knowledge to you by now. The point of a reference is not to be as brief as possible, it is to be as INFORMATIVE as possible.
C) I divide up the articles into standard sections so that the information is easier to find. Some of the articles I have helped write are quite long (look at Acrocanthosaurus). I do not want to wade through that much text if I am just looking for information on its fossil remains, for instance. However, this is a personal preference. If you seek to go back and unformat the articles I have contributed to, I am not going to get in an edit war with you. However, I am not going to stop writing them in this way as I suspect other readers may also appreciate the subheadings. If I see a general consensus (not just your opinion) forming against them, I will stop.
D) You do not own Wikipedia, nor all of its dinosaur articles. If you see fit to alter a page in content or format, that is your decision and your right as a Wikipedian. You have done a wonderful job with the dinosaur page, from what I can tell. But that does not give you any kind of authority with which to make demands, ultimatums, or threats, as you have done on my talk page. I will take into consideration some of your suggestions, but I will not go back and "fix" all the text I have already written just to appease you. Does anyone else share your views? Is there any sort of consensus? If so, ask them to let me know.
