Roman Numerals in the Volume Parameter of the Citation of Cite Book Templates

Dear Smirkybec. On 28 February 2020 I opened an discussion about Roman version numbers under the heading "Roman Numerals in the Volume Parameter of the Citation of Cite Book Templates" at "WP:Village pump (technical)". Three users commented on 1 March 2020. A user RoySmith said he would cite version numbers as given in the original, but users GreenC and Jc3s5h said they would represent Roman version numbers by their Arabic equivalents, just as you recommended. I expect there will not be more contributions. I will revert to Arabic numbers. I would like to get this written into the MOS and have the mention of Roman numbers removed from the documentation of the Cite Book template and the Citation template. I wonder whether I should next submit a proposal for an addition to the MOS on the talk page of MOS:NUM? Greetings Johannes Schade (talk) 15:30, 3 March 2020 (UTC)

Hi Johannes, sorry I missed your message. Sounds like a good idea, did you submit a proposal? Smirkybec (talk) 13:03, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

Lilian Cole Pine-Coffin (1863-1919)

I've been unsuccessfully trying to find any sources for Irish tennis player Lilian Cole Pine-Coffin (wikidata), beyond this web forum post which I obviously can't cite in a WP article. I figured if anyone would know where to look in print (or anywhere) for sources on Irish women tennis players, it would be you. Gamaliel (talk) 02:08, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

Hey! Thanks for the message, she sounds like a fascinating woman (and what a name!) Unfortunately due to closures, I don't have access to my usual library sources. I have been on the hunt for a number of early Irish badminton players, and there is a lot of overlap in players of the two sports, so I will keep an eye out for her. If this goes on much longer, I have a few books on the history of Irish sport that I could end up buying! I have earmarked Beatrice Langrishe (sister of May) and Betty Lombard as other tennis players that could warrant articles. Smirkybec (talk) 13:07, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
Thanks! I understand, I'm also going to have a large book order shipped to be by the end of this, I suspect. Gamaliel (talk) 13:38, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

Awesome article!

Can I just say, I read Geraldine Scholastica Gibbons and it is really high quality! Great work, you’ve helped us fill in another article from my redlist! - Chris.sherlock (talk) 11:30, 29 March 2020 (UTC)

Thank you very much for your kind words! I'm sure I have a few more Irish-Australians lurking in my to do list. I'm not usually one for writing about those in religious orders, but there are a lot of similar women who have entries in the Dictionary of Irish Biography missing from Wikipedia. If there are any in particular I can help with - just let me know! Smirkybec (talk) 18:05, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
