Your revert on RuneScape[edit]

Thanks for reverting that stuff in RuneScape just now. (I was about to, but one of my programs was acting up and making me lag.) However, I just wanted to note that "vandalism" was a bit of a harsh term for User:The knowledge of god's edits, which I think were in good faith. So, just a reminder: Don't forget to assume good faith. Pyrospirit Flames Fire 23:15, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reminder, sometimes I do tend to get a little carried away. SmileToday☺(talk to me , My edits) 23:18, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you warned 67854678907 (talk contribs) for vandalism, although that user only reverted vandalism by Sumo777 (talk contribs) at about the same time. I've sorted it out, so don't worry. Sometimes the vandals start to swarm like that, and it gets very confusing. :-) CaptainVindaloo t c e 01:10, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I know what you mean. I just got warned by an anti-vandalism bot for vandalizing a page. When I clicked on the diff link, I found that two users in a row had vandalized, and the second replaced the vandalism of the first with some nonsense. When I reverted using some JavaScript, it only reverted the edits by the one user, thus making it look like I added the vandalism that the first person added. What I really did was accidentally revert back to a version that had been vandalized even worse. >_< Confused? Me too. Pyrospirit Flames Fire 02:19, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see I'm not the only one that reverts to vandalism happen to. Well, accidents happen, and the only thing to do is to move on. (I'm supposed to be on break but I couldn't stay away) SmileToday☺(talk to me , My edits) 19:16, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ricy[edit]

Copied from User_talk:Academic Challenger:

I just thought I would let you know that the User:Ricy made those last 2 vandalism edits a day before final warnings were added, and that Ricy was not given a warning that they could be blocked before today. SmileToday☺(talk to me , My edits) 20:12, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that, but I felt that his edits clearly showed that he was an acount created only for vandalism. Academic Challenger 20:14, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Substitutions[edit]

Copied from User_talk:FeralDruid:

Hi, and please remember to always substitute all user warning templates with a subst: after the opening brackets ( {{ ). If you have any questions, please contact me. Thanks! SmileToday☺(talk to me , My edits) 19:28, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You just updated my talk page, commenting on using substitutions. What was this edit in regards to? FeralDruid 19:38, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copied from User_talk:FeralDruid:

Basically, when you warn a user for vandalizing, blanking, (etc), you usually warn them with a message like {{uw-vandalism1}}, or something like that. What you should do, is you should usually put a Subst: right after the {{ of the template {{uw-vandalism1}} so that it looks like {{subst:Uw-vandalism1}}. This helps users see the current version of the message and not a dynamic one. It is a problem because there are thousands (possibly more) of these messages added a day, and editing the page Template:uw-vandalism1 would change all of the {{uw-vandalism1}}'s, which uses a lot of server resources. Substituting them with subst: helps because it keeps the version static. If you have any other questions, please ask again on my talk page, and I will try to explain further or redirect you to some written information. Thanks! SmileToday☺(talk to me , My edits) 19:55, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Misc[edit]

Yes the ip is me, but I really was messing around and there is no need to undo your edits. The external link "crash-ie.html" I don't know if it does what it says or not, I just have it up there. I'm considering taking the user message down because I'm bored with it and its unattractive. Thanks for keeping an eeeeeyyyyyyeeeee! on my userspace. Regards, «razorclaw» 21:14, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for testing. I'll remove it. Regards, «razorclaw» 22:39, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey![edit]

I'm glad you did this after I was done testing my css. :P

Put this into your User:SmileToday/monobook.css:

.usermessage {

  background-color: #dcdcdc;
  border: 1px solid #7b68ee;
  color: #696969;
  font-weight: normal;
  font-size:1;
  margin: 2em 0em 1em 0em;
  padding: 0.5em 1em;
  vertical-align: middle;
  -moz-border-radius-topleft: 1em;
  -moz-border-radius-bottomleft: 1em;
  -moz-border-radius-topright: 1em;
  -moz-border-radius-bottomright: 1em;
  text-align: center;

}

ctlr + F5 then ask me to leave you a message.

Regards, RTC 21:07, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's looks great, now new messages won't come as such a shock. Thanks, have a nice day. SmileToday☺(talk to me , My edits) 20:11, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What it does is make the user message bar light gray and the border a nice light blue. The text is silver and the links are blue. The message is not in bold and the corners are rounded. I'm better at css than at js. Regards, RTC 21:20, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DC Meetup notice[edit]

Greetings. There is going to be a Washington DC Wikipedia meetup on next Saturday, July 21st at 5pm in DC. Since you are listed in Category:Wikipedians_in_Delaware, I thought I'd invite you to come. I'm sorry about the short notice for the meeting. Hopefully we'll do somewhat better in that regard next time. If you can't come but want to make sure that you are informed of future meetings be sure to list yourself under "but let me know about future events", and if you don't want to get any future direct notices \(like this one\), you can list yourself under "I'm not interested in attending any others either" on the DC meetup page.--Gmaxwell 22:11, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Josh Madden[edit]

The last time I checked, Josh Madden is a fictional character on a daytime soap opera. He is not a living person. As far as the unreferenced or controversial nature of his statutory rape of another fictional character, you have me baffled. Aren't half the things that soap characters do fictional? I really don't understand your problem with the edit. 74.95.182.169 18:18, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, SmileToday. I addressed this further on 74.95.182.169's talk page.
As for these lists, yes, I see your point, which is why we're not placing their family and relationships at the bottom of their articles anymore. That stuff belongs in their character infobox, of course. For more on this, it has been discussed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Soap Operas on its talk page, as seen in this link. I'll see you around. Hi there! You posted on my talk page regarding a vandalism report that I made. However, I don't understand what I did wrong with the report - I saw a final warning on that IP's talk page, and there had recently been vandalism to a wiki entry. Could you explain further why it was declined so that I don't report something in error again? I feel really bad about making a mistake with something like this. Thank you for your time, and apologies if this isn't appropriate. I just don't want to mess up again. Thanks! Flitt 03:25, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

While I'm here...[edit]

The Excellent Userpage Award
Your userpage is neatly organised and I must admit, it gives the impression of someone who knows what they're doing. At least it does to me! You do not attack vandals and other such undesirables with harsh words or threats, but (humourously or kindly?) re-direct them to your sandbox. I think that shows other things as well as your promise to definitely reply to people who add to your Discussion page. I don't care what others think, I have no regrets in awarding you this!

Now that I think about it, I don't think that the message really fits with the star's nature. But hey, I don't have time (now) to look through the entire Wiki barnstar article to find the one most relevant! A ProdigyTalk 21:34, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
