If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Seven the general requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 06:46, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Seventhegeneral. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 16:54, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Seven the general, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. A tag has been placed on File:SevenmileG.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

Request reason:

My reason is that I have read the policies and guides for conduct and I understand that I violated the policies set forth by Wikipedia by removing editing and and creating another account to continue my edits. I also may have spoke out of line with an editor. I take full responsibility for my actions and wish to apologize to the editors offended as well as to Wikipedia as a reliable encyclopedia and source of reference. I vow to never engage in such activity again. I take pride in Wikipedia and its platform and I sincerely apologize for my actions.Seventhegeneral (talk) 17:09, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

As you've addressed the reasons for your block, I see no reason for you to remain blocked at this time. "Seven The General" may at some point meet our notability criteria; I suggest that down the road if you think there are sufficient sources to support this, you go through the articles for creation process. OhNoitsJamie Talk 14:20, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is a reasonable unblock request, however, I'd like you to address one more question: if unblocked, will you cease trying to create articles about "Seven The General" and adding information about him to articles? OhNoitsJamie Talk 03:47, 16 June 2014 (UTC) If it is a problem with me doing so and it is a violation I definitely will do so. May I ask as to why I am asked to not write on the topic? I thought that if I had the proper citations and information then it was fine to do so? If this is not true I vow to not attempt such writing again. I again would like to apologize to all I may have offended Respectfully Seventhegeneral (talk) 05:55, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Ohnoitsjamie: This user has contacted me on #wikipedia-en-help connect and clarified that he does not have a conflict of interest and is rather just a fan of the subject. He seems to understand our neutrality policies and although I think it would be completely understandable for him to stop creating new articles in mainspace, I am wondering if he can continue to work on his AfC articles. I believe as this editor does not have a conflict of interest with the subject it will be fine for him to continue editing, perhaps with a username change. Thanks! Darylgolden(talk) 11:03, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Thank you again i truly wish only to be an assets respectfully & humbly Seventhegeneral (talk) 14:27, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to contact me or other experienced users if you have questions regarding policy, and we'll point you in the right place. Cheers, OhNoitsJamie Talk 14:29, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I sure will the last question I have is how do I proceed? my account says still blocked yet its allowing me to edit that page. I don't want to remove anything i'm not supposed to do i just wait for it to leave on its own.Seventhegeneral (talk) 14:55, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the block (I just double-checked). The block notice above is just a message indicating that you were blocked before. What page are you interested in editing? OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:17, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, the page I'm trying to edit is Seven the General can I have some help from some one with it? I just put up my edits Seventhegeneral (talk) 15:19, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Let me be clear about this; at the moment, there is not evidence that Seven The General meets our notability criteria; for more on that, please see WP:BIO. Sites like lastFM and an MTV Bio page can be created by anyone, and therefore don't qualify as reliable sources. In other words, for now, please stop trying to create this page or you're going to get blocked again. If in the future the artists gets some significant media coverage (i.e., Source, Vibe, etc), then it can be revisited, though in such a case your best bet would be to go through the articles for creation process, where other experienced users can help you get the article to a state where it won't be immediately deleted. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:58, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I see you're using the correct process now; thanks. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:06, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you also I wanted to know is imdb a reliable reference? Seventhegeneral (talk) 16:16, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It depends on what it's used for. It wouldn't be a good source to establish notability, since anyone can write the bios. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:37, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry[edit]

Your draft article, User:Seventhegeneral/sandbox[edit]

Hello Seventhegeneral. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "sandbox".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:Seventhegeneral/sandbox}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. TKK! bark with me! 22:59, 21 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
